Girly weekend in Lisbon

Posted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: Excellent friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Update some of the landings and the pool area.
Location: Fantastic central location.
Lovely hotel with brilliant staff! The rooms were luxurious and comfortable. Parts of the hotel, particularly the pool looked a little tired, but the rooms were modern and well kept. Extremely helpful staff.

Nice hotel in centre

Posted May 29, 2014
Pros: nice staff
Cons: bed a liitle hard
Location: great for transport links and shopping
This was a nice hotel it had a very good location that was close to transport for airport and other connections for sight seeing, the hotel terrace had great views of the city and the pool was good except it was very windy on the top floor and there was no barrier against the wind

Fantastic hotel stuff

Posted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: The stuff are all wonderful.
Cons: Maybe the free wifi access can be improved by providing a single code for the whole stay.
Location: Shopping, restaurants, historical places, the river...
The hotel is in the city center, in a very nice avenue accessible to most things and places visitors would want to visit. Everything can be reached via walking distance. But for farther distances like the airport or Oriente, the Metro station is just short walk from the hotel entrance. The staff are all very polite and helpful and genuinely nice. Can't complain at all. Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends visiting Lisbon.

Excellent location but surly staff

Posted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Great location. Clean and rooms were nice. Tiny bar.
Location: Avenue Liberade is perfect for shopping and getting to all key areas in the City. 15 mins from the airport and plenty of taxi ranks nearby.
Booked x3 rooms and specified twin rooms. When I arrived all roms were double and staff made no attempt to change this. Instead they put the blame back on Expedia, whom I also feel should should some blame too. I specifically requested twin rooms and made this clear in my notes. Poor service all round.

Convenient and clean.

Posted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: Convenience, cleanliness, comfort and great breakfasts!
Cons: More interesting interior decor that reflects Lisbon's character (though that's purely a matter of taste!).
Location: Close to all central locations with some very interesting walks along the way. For those into the arts, The Museum of Modern Design is fantastic!
A very clean and spacious room. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great...a wide range of pastries, fruit, cereals etc. The hotel is in a very convenient, central location and we didn't end up using the metro at all because it was easy to walk to most of the places we wanted to get to. The only criticism is that the hotel is very much a functional place and lacks character but apart from that it was great.

Modern hotel in ideal location

Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Good d├ęcor, great location and knowledgeable & friendly staff.
Cons: Ceiling light in rooms!
Location: Location is very central and ideal for public transport links, would recommend getting the tram up from Av.Liberade to Rua Rosa and surrounding area.
This was the first time we have stayed at a NH hotel and we would certainly stay again - the hotel was in a great location on Av. Liberade which is in the centre of Lisbon and right next to all the metro/tram/bus links (as well as a stop for the airport Aerobus). Our room itself was well decorated and clean with modern fittings, although my only criticism would be that there is no main light fitting in the rooms (only table/floor lamps) which makes it quite dark. We did request to change rooms as the room next door was particularly noisy, but the staff were really apologetic, moved us immediately and even gave us a complimentary bottle of port. Would definitely recommend & go back again!

Modern hotel in a great central location

Generously sized modern bedrooms and bathrooms. Central Lisbon attractions could be reached on foot. Close to a selection of bars and restaurants.

A Very Good Stay

Posted Feb 5, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, room service
Location: It is very central. Less than 5 minutes walk to Rossio Train Station to catch a train to Sintra. Walkable to most central attractions.
We were on a Conference in Lisbon and stayed at NH Liberdade. I think it was a good choice. To begin with: the location cannot be beaten. It is central- less that 5 minutes walk to Rossio square and tourist attractions like Santa Justa and tram 28 and tram 15 are all close to walk to. Lots of good places to have a meal. If you are fond of trendy shops Liberade is Lisbon's Fifth avenue. The area is very safe which was of great importance as we were two females. The hotel staff are friendly and nice. Rooms are clean, spacious and have a small kitchenette with tea-coffee making facilities. The room service is good and we had free wi-fi. The rooftop swimming pool area is attractive. And though we stayed there in January, it is still worth going up on a sunny day. You cat take fantastic photos from there and sit at the table and enjoy Lisbon from above.
