“Great base for Lisbon visit”

The hotel is very conveniently located just a 15 minute drive from the airport, close to the metro and tour bus stations. Staff were very patient and helpful in all aspects. Would definitely recommend.

“If I came back to Lisboa I will bet there again”

Excellent choice as per the following: - excellent breakfast wiith very good food and beverage options - very close to 3 metro station - very close to a big department store with a supermaket, bakery, cinema, restaurants. - safe area - not noise area - closer to airport and downtown

“It was wonderful”

I had chosen this hotel after considering some of the reviews on travel sites, this one included. I arrived at the airport in Lisbon @6:00 am, and while having a cup of coffee took out all the helpful hints that I had printed from the reviews. Since I just had a backpack, I decided to start my sight seeing right away. I took the #1 airport bus, and for a little more than 2 euros got a ticket that was good for 24 hours. So I explored the city, hiked around and had some more coffee. The streets were a little tricky to navigate with the map I had, but when it was time to check in I aimed for the Gulbenkian Museum, and found the hotel, no problem as the street is right by the museum, just hike around the wall, if you are lost, you will find it. Nice area, lots of coffee shops, apartments, a couple of gift shops and restaurants. The room itself was a small, cozy and perfectly fine. The bathroom was a bit smelly, but just a bit, wasn't a big issue. The buffet breakfast, which was included in the cost of the room, I thought was fantastic. My favorite food was the cut oranges, scrambled eggs and nutty wheat bread. Yum! The hotel is right by the Sao Sebastian train station. There are different colors of train lines, and it looks a bit confusing at first, but it isn't, the transfer points are easy to navigate, and traveling on the subway was fast. You can get a 24 hour pass for under 5 euros and that is good for all the transports, train, bus tram.

Area recommendations

I'd recommend staying downtown Chicago. You have a lot of sights to see downtown. And I'd get a bus pass, and unlimited one, for example, you can buy them for one day, seven days, etc. There is a good transportation system in Chicago and from downtown you can get to lots of other interesting places.

“Great Choice”

Room was great, service was excellent, breakfast choices were abundant and diverse. Metro and bus stops very close. Also, the wonderful Gulbenkian Museum is right there. If I had any compaint at all, it was with the wifi service. Since it isn't free (you pay in advance ihour increments) it should work much better. But that was one sour spot in an otherwise very good experience.

“Good value and great location”

I spent 3 nights here on a vacation and I would go back if I were to stay in Lisbon again. It is outside the city center but only a block and a half walk to a 2 line metro station. The metro made it very convenient to access the city but still have a quiet location to sleep in. The service truly stands out, the staff is warm and helpful (genuinely!) and were willing to go above and beyond. They offered to take my postcards to the post office for me after the weekend. The room was clean and quiet, albiet a little small, but for one person it was just fine. There was a also good selection at breakfast which was included. Overall, I'd recommend!

“good option for staying outside Lisbon's touristy areas”

In a residential neighborhood near the Gulbenkian Museum. Breakfast had lots of options for protein and carbs. 5 minute walk to the Sao Sebastiao Metro stop and El Corte Ingles (dept store), 10 minutes to Baixa/Chiado. Hotel itself was ok - clean, functional.

Traveler's tip

Go to nearby El Corte Ingles to save on food - they have great sandwiches, pastries, and treats if you don't feel like going to a restaurant.

“Modern and reasonable location”

This hotel is a great value. Located just a couple blocks from the San Sebastian metro stop and the Gulbenkian Museum. It was very close to the subway. The room was really good and clean. The buffet breakfast offers a wide selection, including a variety of Portuguese sweets! The staff was extremely helpful with everything from directions to restaurant suggestions. I plan to return someday with friends. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
