marvellous location, proximity to town & to seaPosted Feb 21, 2014
Pros: location décor staff swimmpool breakfast quiet
Cons: wardrobe door knobs impossible for an older person like me with difficulty gripping bedside needs a small floor rug or mat ( simple washable cotton )
Location: get a 72 hour Lisbon card. visit Queluz Sintra,Gulbenkian use restaurants in town frequented by locals & eat local cuisine rather than japanese
so much to see & do' 72 hour Lisbon card very useful for visiting palaces, museums inc Sintra & especially Queluz glad that town restaurants available & open at this time of year; in many other resorts in february there is a dead feeling plenty of life among the locals though especially the surfing fraternity couple of wet days did not particularly detract from our first class stay flight ( TAP) delayed both ways. most annoying

Not up to ' leading hotel of the world standard'Posted Oct 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was new and modern and set in an old fort in a good location.. However the decor and ambience did not quite work for us. The bedroom was comfortable but always felt gloomy as it faced a wall and it was difficult to fully draw the curtains back. There was no bidet. The breakfast was Ok but not varied enough and we had difficulty getting afternoon tea. There is no lounge where you could relax and have tea and they are not geared up to provide small sandwiches and cakes. On the credit side all the staff were friendly and helpful .

Excellent service, great locationPosted Aug 26, 2013
The hotel located close to marina, public beaches and city centre: very convenient if you would like to take a train to Lisbon or rent a free bike (bicas). There are no private beaches in Cascais, so we staid most of the time by the pool at the hotel or went to Guincho, which is about 10 km away. The staff there is very well trained, helpful, polite and genuinely nice. Probably one of the best service we've seen. Would certainly recommend to a friend.

Overall a good hotel.Posted Jul 15, 2013
The hotel is very modern and has fantastic views out to sea from the sea view rooms. The pool area is a little cramped and there was a fight for sunbeds so make sure you get out there early. Breakfast was the usual buffet style layout, efficient, friendly and of a standard you would expect. The only downside is our room did not have a proper shower, just a shower in a bath with a very small nozzle but it didn’t especially detract from the hotel experience. Overall a good hotel if you like small, modern, edgy design in a good location.

Great hotel for family and business travellersPosted Jul 10, 2013
Pros: The Location and customer service made our holiday extra special
Cons: The Cocktails was not up to my standard ...also would be be lovely to find in the room a complementary sample of the local product
Location: The location is so exclusive and only few minutes from the beach
Great experience , great location, great services. The only thing is missing is toddler's pool. That would be great so I can bring my kids next time( some few of health and safety issues around hotel ) . Also the bed is big but not is separated in the middle...would be ideal to have a one big bed instead two beds together. The little extras like slippers would very helpful as well. Also when we book hotel online , no any options for transfers from airport to hotel. So we missed to book

Book it!Posted May 11, 2013
One of the best hotels we've stayed at. The actual surroundings itself were amazing - tucked away so nice and quiet but just 5 minutes walk to the closest beach and the shops. Hotel staff couldn't do enough, very warm and friendly. Hotel restaurants are usually not that great but the Tapas one in the square outside the front door is excellent. Awesome roof top sun bathing area with inside pool beside. Book it! You won't regret it.

Glad we stayed here in our two days in Cascais. Hotel is stunning and beds were super comfortable! Location is great, easy to get to town (5 minute walk) as well as head eastwards to Boca de Inferno. Pool was nicer than I thought (based on prior reviews), the one redeeming quality is that there is a cool jet stream that shoots out from the floor so your legs are floating up as you hold onto the bar on the wall! Good it was indoor since we went in early May and it was a bit chilly. Breakfast buffet was YUMMY and had loads of great offerings. Everyone at the hotel was very nice and helpful. Definitely eat at Hemingways, which is just in front of the hotel on the marina side!
