“Take advantage of the introdcutory offers!”

A smiling, willing staff is undoubtedly the hotel's strength. They whisk plates away within seconds at breakfast and reception even arranged a free late check out for us without having to ask. Breakfast is served in a restaurant overlooking the marina is a wide range of cold options backed-up by a 4 item hot buffet. At the time of writing the hotel has only been open 4 weeks so it proved to be very quiet. Filming a round of Portugal's X Factor and a visit from Portugal's president for the official opening livened things up. Few people seemed to choose the hotel's restaurant. Their menu seems to lose something in translation but the restaurant just across the courtyard, also owned by the Pousda and working on a theme of Portugueses Tapas is superb. Beyond that there are over 90 restaurants in Cascais, most within a five minute walk.

“Don't miss the newest hotel in Town!”

Recently opened, this hotel is a fantastic example of new (eco-friendly renovations/amazing design) working with the old (the fort / history). The staff were very eager to help and the beverages / food on offer were of a high standard. This place is probably better suited to couples or people travelling for a conference, anybody who enjoys good architecture.

“Wow!”

The staff were all very friendly and were especially helpful with our 1 year old. They remembered his name and helped entertain him when he got a bit grumpy! The photos on the website didn't do the hotel justice, as it was even more amazing than expected. The hotel is built inside the walls of an old military navy fort and keeps it's traditional look mixed in with modern sleekness. The hotel is positioned right in the middle of the town - a lovely park when you turn right out of the hotel, and the beach if you turn left. Because the hotel is within the walls of the fort, it is so peaceful and yet everything is on your doorstep. Breakfast was exceptional, and there were 3 restaurants of which we ate in 2. One was lovely, simple bar food and the other amazing Portugese tapas. The waiter asked if he could just choose us a selection, which we agreed and were not disappointed!
