I always look for properties that have a home feel and Quinta fits that description to the point! The location is excellent, away from the noisy touristy areas and yet close to all the attractions and great restaurants. Parking is abundant, the room was bright, clean and the view is magnificent! We were immersed in nayure with a prime view of Sintra's palaces! Most of all, the way we were treated by staff is something I have only seen in very few places. Everyone was not just helpful and friendly but also very loving and kind. We already have plans to go back.

Great stay at Quinta Verde Sintra! We were welcomed with coffee and pastry upon arrival and our room was ready early. Waited around and napped by the pool area, which is beautiful. Very easy to communicate with Andre and he was more than happy to help with anything we needed including restaurant recommendations and lining up an early morning ride to the airport so we did not have to stress over Ubers. The area is peaceful yet still close to coastal towns, palaces and Lisbon. Well-run, clean, friendly and a great place to vacation! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

A wonderful place to stay. Marcel was so helpful in recommending place to park, eat,see etc... property is amazing, would definitely stay here again. My only issue would be the breakfast - we thought it expensive for what was served. However it is optional and you can choose yourself. Thanks for making our stay in Sintra area so memorable

I loved this place, beautiful and quiet. All the people I encountered were very helpful and friendly. I honestly felt at home. Like I was staying at my parents or grandparents country-side home. If I ever find myself in Portugal again I would def go there.

Wow. This is such a beautiful property! Every staff we interacted with was so helpful and kind. Andre and Marcelo reached out to us as soon as we booked to let us know they are there to help us with anything and that they did! I highly recommend enjoy a small walk around the property to truly appreciate the views and amenities. You feel very much at home, its a beautiful place to relax. I highly recommend this property!! This was a quiet and charming property that acted as our base to experience Sintra, which was a 10-minute drive away. We loved the sweeping view of the valley and the Pena Palace at the top of the hillside. The staff was friendly and helpful, including providing tips on parking and sightseeing. The local restaurants Marcelo recommended were excellent and authentic Portuguese. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to explore the Sintra area without the hustle and bustle of being in-town.

Our favourite stay of the whole trip!
We booked Quinta for the 2nd night of our trip and we loved it so much we cancelled our hotel for the last 2 nights and came back to Quinta. If we ever come back to the sintra area we will be sure to stay here for at least one night!

Quite place
Very quiet and beautiful place away from the city. It's about 5 to 10 minute drive from Sintra depends on the time you're driving. It is not a hotel. It is a house that is converted into the hotel. So if you are looking for a hotel this is not the place for you. Staff was very helpful very friendly. Nice breakfast.

As a matter of fact we are on the way from the historical center of Sintra (2,5 miles or 4,3km) to the amazing Magoito beach (4,5 miles or 7,5 km).Sorry but your statement is confusing. First you say it's not a hotel, than you say it's a house turned it to a hotel. To my knowledge, no where on our description you will find the word hotel, however you have booked it through hoteis.com I would say that we are a country side guest house or a countryside bed and breakfast with a nice pool, huge garden and an amazing view over the mountain of Sintra.Clarifying your statement, this was in fact a family house. Back in 1996 we build, totally new, the part that is currently used to accommodate guests. We have a total of 12 rooms split between our 9 accommodations. In the area I assure you that is't almost impossible to finda a 12 bedroom house with 12 bathrooms. I hope I was clear enough. Many thanks for your preference. SaudaçõesAndré Sena

If you want modern this isn’t for you. If you want somewhere traditional and with character then this place is amazing. I loved it and was perfect for my first solo travel. The staff were also amazing.

Very nice hotel with swimming pool and castle view
Hotel hoster is a very friendly family. Very helpful in city sightseeing. The area is quiet out of downtown but just 10 min drive. The view is great can see the castle. Hope to be back again sometime in summer.

I would like to inform that this guest made a last minute booking (after 20H00) and arrived at 3H40 am expecting that somebody would check him in. Making a last minute booking with a very late check in (beyond reasonable) and not contacting or having any confirmation from the hotel is doubtful. But the most awkward situation is that although the room was booked for several hours, upon request of Expedia Customer Care we decided to refund this guest in 100%. Still we got such a review. This is my 21st year of hospitality...

The room and views of the mountains and Pena Palace were amazing. The staff was exceptionally helpful and kind. Would stay here again simply based on how wonderful and accommodating the staff was. I loved my room and furnishings and my rain shower! I also really enjoyed he sweet little kitty who made my morning by snuggling up with me by the pool...made for a very memorable stay!

My family absolutely loved Quinta Verda! This place is so clean and friendly! The view of the Sintra hills and castles is breathtaking. The owners are very helpful and make you fell like home. There was a family there 17th time in a row! It’s not surprising for me :) Clean rooms, zero damp smell, gorgeous pool! Strongly recommended if you want to rest away from noisy center

Gorgeous Holiday Stay
We had a wonderful stay at Quinta Verde. It was just outside Sintra with some great local restaurants around. Picturesque, well-kept grounds with views of Pena Palace in the distance. The pool was fabulous for cooling off in the midday heat. Breakfast was simple and delicious. Would absolutely stay again.

A quiet green oasis outside Sintra
Spacious and green with extensive gardens, good for children to play in safety. Has a nice pool and. The rooms are authentic Portuguese. Staff are very helpful.

Great place in Sintra a nice town close to Lisbon
I really enjoyed our one day stay here wish we would have had more time to spend there. The owners are very nice people. It has nice views. We had to leave early so they made use sandwiches and had them ready for us before breakfast hours. Sintra is a beautiful area and it is easy short trip to Lisbon and other surrounding towns. There are good restaurants around town also. We drove to Lisbon airport and it did not take long at all using toll roads to cut down on traffic. I recommend it.

The hotel is beautiful super clean the owners are sweet and very welcoming! Breakfast was delicious and the viiew is spectacular! You do need a car to get there but is a nice short drive to all the castles in Sintra

Lovely stay and would recommend!
Peaceful place with wonderful staff. Incredible views of sintra. We had a spacious quiet room. Lovely shower (spa type of shower head) and tv with many English channels. Breakfast was okay for vegetarians (basic breads and pastry), nothing to get excited about but okay. Overall great stay and I would recommend. We spent one night during our sintra visit. Thanks to the lovely team there!
