“Saboia - A lovely hotel in Estoril”

I really enjoyed my stay at the Saboia Hotel. The friendly staff met me with a glass of port as festive tunes were playing softly through the hotel's sound system (it was Christmas while I stayed). My room had a seaview and was exceptionally comfortable and nicely decorated. I stayed only for a short time but am already considering travelling back in my own time (I was in Portugal for a work trip recently) to explore the area further and would stay at the Saboia again.

“Superb Saboia”

On arrival we were welcomed with a glass of port, good start, and were given a tour of the hotel facilities. The room was very clean and was always kept to that standard. Breakfast was good with unlimited coffee with a selection of hot and cold food including cakes. The location was excellent though people with walking difficulties would struggle. The pool was good and safe with plenty of seating and a fresh supply of pool towels. The people at Reception were always courteous and anxious to help. We had a great week there.

“Excellent location outside the city”

Hotel Saboia is a five minute walk up from the station, coast and promenade situated by a small park in a village type atmosphere with shops bars restaurants. Hotel Saboia is a small well run hotel with a coffeehouse/snackbar open allday opposite the main dining room. Easy to get to, just take the coach from airport to main Lisbon station(less than an hour)then the train from Estoril to Cascais(about 40 mins) and get off at the stop just before Cascais. They both run regularly and late into the night. Bedrooms are not large but extremely clean and we had a balcony facing the sea. We stayed in December and the hotel was well heated in the evenings.

“Very nice”

Close to attractions with nice views. Enjoyed my stay.

Only flaw I found was the room was that it was a fraction too small.If you are a couple then you would be bumping into each other but then again how much time is needed in the hotel whilst on vacation!? would definitely think about staying there again.

I recieved a lot of help and cooperation from the two ladies that are receptionist....E and J, ( first innitials of their first names ). Management will know I mean. I got a lot of tours info. and directions, etc. from the. I will like to give them thanks.

“Modern and funky”

Hotel was very well presented. Modern, bright and clean. Bedrooms a little on the small size and the advertised satellite tv was poor in the room but very good in the lounge? Power shower in the bathroom and a balcony. Breakfast was average and the lift was tiny but I did enjoy my stay. Lovely collection of books to borrow if it's raining!

“Impressed and good!”

Our stay was really nice. It was quiet, relaxing and very clean. Receptionists were brilliant and friendly. Breakfast was good and plenty. I recommend it to those who want a nice break.

“Good value for money”

A very enjoyable stay. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff working in the dining room could not have worked harder. There was a good selection of bread and pastries as well as scrambled egg, cold meats and cheese, cereals, fruit and yoghurt. Coffee was excellent, but the juice was a little too dilute. The room was comfortable, but showed some sign of wear, and the safe was not working. The hotel was convenient for several good restaurants and for the train station, where 1.75 Euros got you in to Lisbon in half an hour. Cascais is close by, with lots of shops and restaurants. If you don't fancy the walk, a taxi costs less than 5 Euros each way.

VERY CLEAN, EFFICIENT STAFF. COULD USE SOME IMPROVEMENT IN THE BREAKFAST BUFFET. QUITE NEIGHBORHOOD. EASY ACCESS TO DOWNTOWN. GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY
