Pros: Good hotel.
Cons: Need some smile for the staff
Location: Canada
Hotel was excellent, clean and comfortable. We requested a higher floor but end up in the 1st floor. Our reservations indicated that free internet was inclued but they charge us at the begining until we talked to the manager.

Superb hotel and outstanding value for families
Posted Jan 4, 2012
Pros: Room quality, size and helpful staff. Outstanding value and facilities are easily 4 star if not slightly more.
Cons: The wi-fi is not free but that is clear on the website. Maybe the hotel could increase the daily rate by £5-10 and provide free wi-fi
Location: Good and safe location. 15-20 minutes from the airport and excellent connections to city centre.
My family of four enjoyed our stay in Sana Malhoa, Lisbon. We were given two good sized interconnecting rooms inclusive of breakfast which is outstanding value. The rooms are spacious with good soundproofing. The bathrooms are very clean and have excellent showers. The breakfast had a wide choice with both hot and cold options. The location is good (in the financial centre) with easy acces to the city centre by bus or metro (the bus including the airport bus stops outside the hotel and the metro is a 5 minute walk - you get to the city centre within 15 minutes). The staff were very helpful and arranged all our visits including taxis etc. Importantly, as we were travelling with children, the location is very safe and we could walk to local restaurants even at night with no concerns. The Cotres Ingles shopping mall including supermarket is only a 10 minute walk. Another couple in their fifties travelled with us and they had no complaints. There were some negative comments on tripadvisor but I found them either untrue or disproportionate. The only disappointment was the quality of the dinner in the hotel restaurant which was not to the very high standards we came to expect.

Very pleasant stay. The hotel was of a high standard, nice room, good food and helpful staff. Not in the most exciting district if you were in Lisbon sightseeing, but the hotel itself was good.

The hotel is nice. However, they charge a lot for the internet access. 5 euros per hour and 10 euros per day. I think that this is unacceptable. Hotels near by have free internet in the lobby and 2 euro per day for the wifi in the rooms. The even charge extra for using the TV! The rooms are clean and the breakfast is very good. The location is a bit far from town, but is very close to a metro stop that will take you there in 15 minutes.

Relaxing time - great receptionists!

I arrived alone at the hotel and was immediately taken care of by a very very kind receptionist... dealt with a difficult taxi driver for me personally. The hotel is very relaxing and good service in general. Was informed about the shortcut to the metro - pity this is not more direct by normal footpath but highly appreciated being helped in this way. Breakfast was excellent - one of the best we have seen... thanks for making this so enjoyable for us!

What a treat to have a new high style hotel at such a good price. We have had several tired decor hotels for this same price. We were happy with the airport area although we had a car. We did not drive through town but caught the "yellow bus" for a very good day. Sadly we were advised by the deck clerk to take the #28 trolley. It was dreadful and crowded. All we could see were the gutters and graffiti. We learned nothing as there was no guidance. Don't take #28. Enjoy the breakfast, it is the best.

Shaw stay 10-12 August

You should be pleased that you run your hotel well; your staff were helpful and friendly, the room clean and in good order and the breakfasts excellent. You get low marks on 2 things: (1) the bed mattresses were distinctly hard; hard enough to give my wife a bad back and stop her sleeping. (2) You are close to the metro which works well, so in theory your 'hotel location' is good. However, the access path to the metro station, past Barclays bank, was tatty by day (the woman standing in the car park mid-afternoon isn't your fault but set the tone) but genuinely creepy by night. My wife was very scared by a man hanging around in the shadows looking at us; he seemed late middle aged, but if he'd been younger or there had been more than one I'd have been scared too. The sight of your guard on duty by the car park entrance was very re-assuring. By contrast you should play up your proximity to the Gulbenkian building and gardens, which are lovely.
