“beautiful small hotel in beautiful location”

This quaint hotel was a wonderful place to stay while visiting Cascais. There was a beautiful view of the coast from our room. It is not in the "downtown" area of this resort town, but rather down the road a bit, and a welcome retreat. The hotel had a very personal feel, and the service was friendly and helpful It was exactly what we were looking for as a retreat.

“Would go back in a second”

The hotel is beautiful, and the location is perfect. After leaving the overcrowded Algarve, this hotel was a peaceful sanctuary. The ocean was a stone's throw away and even the restaurant directly across the street was delicious (as was the hotel food - loved the breakfast buffet.) Cascais town center is a 5 minute drive but we chose to walk it which took about 30 minutes. A great place!

“Relaxing surroundings and excellent food”

My wife and I spent 4 nights here and found the hotel excellent. The standard of service was very good, the staff were friendly, and the food of a very high standard. We were very happy with the room we ended up with, although the first one we were shown was a bit cramped so we were given another with no complaint. Its position means that it is very quiet. So there isn't much to see within strolling distance, and you really need to use a car or taxi to get into the town. However, taxis are very cheap so this isn't a problem. From Cascais station, it's an easy ride into Lisbon. This is one of the few places we've visited where we would consider returning just for the hotel!

“Relaxing Spa w/ Fabulous Views”

Beautiful boutique spa / hotel, great service and wonderful breakfast overlooking the ocean. Pool area very nice. Convenient to Cascais and Sintra. Be sure you rent a car for beatiful drives up and down the coast.

“Well worth a Visit”

Great hotel with friendly helpful staff. Rooms are large and clean, try and get one on 1st floor with a balcony and sea view. Cascais nice resort full of shops and restaurants. Excellent base to visit Lisbon by train and Sintra by bus. Only slight downside is location about 40 mins walk from town centre, nearest shops/cafes 15 mins walk. Excellent restaurant just across road thought and taxi into town cheap and easy to get.

“Lisbon Option?”

This hotel is on the ocean front in Cascais. We stayed there instead of in Lisbon, but it was about an hour's journey (cab and train) into Lisbon - a little too far for a short visit. For a relaxing pool/beach stay it would be ideal, though. The hotel strives to be a five star property, and the huge room was nicely decorated and newly refurbished. Some details are a little off, but nothing that detracted from our stay. The staff was friendly and quite helpful.

“Good to get away from the city for some R & R”

Comments about nearby traffic were spot-on, but if you can overcome this... there was a beautiful pool area with indoor whirlpool, sauna and steam room was available. The beach nearby was craggy rocks and scenic, but the closest sand beach was about 7 km away. Bonus was that the hotel has some sort of connection with a rental car/buggy place. We rented an open air buggy for very little for a full day (with pickup/delivery at the hotel) and had great fun roaming around the nearby area!

“"Desert Island Hotel"”

Cosy hotel, too far from town center though. Grassy ground around pool for sunbathing is a breeding/nursery for flies including blood sucking ones.
