Great Experience

Posted Dec 13, 2014
Pros: Historic ambience and fantastic location.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
Location: Visit castle and handy for local bus 737 to city centre Location very quiet in early December which suits me fine.
Had a three night break so satisfied with the hotel overall and its excellent location.

Everthing is good , specially at night when you walk through the empty small streets up, returning from a Lisboa day. Staff is polite and helpfull, beautifull building, nice room. Recomended

Quiet hotel on top of the hill

Posted Nov 6, 2014
Pros: Terrace for comprehensive breakfast with Nespresso coffee. Knowledgeable staff with excellent English. Calm ambiance with mature clientele.
Cons: Suited us perfectly.
Location: Top of the hill, historic house conversion. Convenient for early morning visit to the fascinating and extensive castle with wonderful city overviews.
2 friends on 4 nights city break. Interesting walk down through cobbled residential area with caged birds singing. 10mins to City centre, Cathedral and Waterfront/ferries. Good public transport (check times of last bus up) and make use of the 2 new Elevadors from Rua dos Fanqueiros and pause at the Cafe Bar at the top. Decanter of Port in the room a nice touch. Bright clean bathroom with good shower, robes, slippers, quality toiletries and lots of towels. Elegant peacock from the Castle visited at breakfast. 15 min walk to Rossio Station for trains to Sintra - full day of Summer Palace, Moors Castle, gardens and good quality shops with local crafts. Locals friendly and English widely spoken.

Super Hotel in alter Burganlage

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Der freundliche Service (z.B.

Albergo romantico

Informatevi.
