We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Litchfield from November 26 to November 27th with our two children. Around 1am, my husband and I were woken up by a dripping sound. There was a crack in the ceiling with visible mold (so obviously a previous problem) and it was dripping all over the carpet. Instead of uprooting our sleeping kids and moving them to a new room, we decided to stick a garbage can under it for the night, bu of course we didn't sleep well. When we brought it to the attention of the hotel staff in the morning, they did not act like it was a big deal at all and offered us a $15 McDonalds gift card and told us to take it up with Expedia because their hands were tied. Expedia then refused to issue us a refund without the approval of the hotel. What a joke. Will not be booking with this hotel or Expedia in the future.
