This Super8 is NOT so “Super”. We were passing through on our way to AZ. We’ve stayed at Super8’s before with no issues. Our room was paid for in advance so when she asked for my credit card when we checked in, I was hesitant to give it to her, as I’ve been double charged for rooms before. She assured me I wouldn’t be charged anything that this was just for verification purposes. When I got to my room I looked at my account online and they had a charge of $50 pending out of my account! Our room wasn’t very clean, however sheets were clean and it appeared the bathroom had been cleaned. There were greasy prints on the nightstand as well as on the desk and mirror above the desk. Pieces of food/large crumbs were on the floor under and around the desk. I was going to address all of these things upon checkout, but there was a note on the desk saying back in 10 minutes along with a contact number. I tried calling the number, but all it did was ring. There were also a bunch of other people waiting to check out, with one who had been waiting for 1 1/2 hours! I decided to just leave my keys by their computer and just leave. I immediately called the Super 8 customer service number to file a complaint, and to make sure I wasn’t double charged. I was informed that since they are all independently owned, the owner has up to 7 days to contact me, so now I just wait……….won’t be staying here again!
