Conference retreat

Posted Feb 28, 2015
Pros: Welcoming and friendly staff; comfortable bed; impressive old world charm.
Location: Perfect. It was close to the conference centre and the trolley which provides transportation from North Little Rock to the heart of Little Rock.
I recently stayed at the Baker House, a five minute walk from our conference. What a a hospitable, clean, and comfortable place to stay for four days. The impressive decor and beautiful woodwork made it a great place to be after a busy day. I look forward to returning some day.

Creaky Baker House

Posted Jan 10, 2015 on Hotels.com
We stayed at this B and B in January, having wonderful experiences at most B and B's. The Baker House was not one of those experiences. The whole house creaks when any one in the house walks, so if any other room is up at 5am, even if they are being quiet, you are up at 5am. This is not necessarily within their control, but a problem none the less. The food for breakfast was also inedible. Most people did not finish their breakfast. It was a creative attempt, but very bad tasting. The service was also underwhelming from the inn keeper. She did not have a pleasant attitude with us at all. It seemed like we bothered her by asking to make another pot of coffee after everyone had only 1 cup.

Victorian Delight

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Not only the actual B & B setting but the friendliness of both the owner and the host. They spent time with us, sharing the house's history.
Baker House is all that I had hoped it would be. The owner and the host were both so pleasant and helpful, even helping carry our luggage up to our floor. As senior adults we appreciated that so much. The food at breakfast was delicious and fresh. This was such a nice evening ~~ I love B & Bs, especially the Victorian setting and was not disappointed.

Interesting B&B in a great location.

Posted Oct 24, 2014
Pros: The ambiance and the location.
Cons: The room lighting wasn't good, and the room needed a better sitting area.
Location: Good location to get to local restaurants and bars, other shops. Easy to drive to, park, and get anywhere from.
Very private, classic old building. The owner/staff are very nice. The room is comfortable, but a little tight, use the common living area to sit and read. The breakfast was individually cooked and very good.

One Night

Posted Oct 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
My friend and I stayed here for one night and loved it. Everything was cute, the woman who kept the house and made breakfast was really nice, even though we arrived at 11 pm. Breakfast was yummy (not for those on a diet) and the conversation lovely.

Great Historic Location

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Location was great. Bed was very comfy!
Cons: Bathroom door would not lock and I didn't know until I arrived that my bathroom was across the hall. Also, it could use more parking.
Location: This B&B is in historic North Little Rock. The trolley is close and there is a great coffee shop around the corner.
This old house is charming and the location is great. Staff was friendly accommodating.
