Clarion Hotel Medical Center

Room was fine, first time I had stayed in a Clarion would do again.

The Clarion Hotel Medical Center was a big disappointment. We choose this expensive hotel in our four-night trip from Norfolk to Fort Worth hoping to splurge on a fancy hotel. The hotel lobby is indeed fancy with the all the staff dressed sharply in pressed suits. Our room on the second floor was a different matter completely. The room furniture was very dated. The hotel’s website does show the bed and the chair but does not show the tube television that is probably at least fifteen-years old. The bathroom has no exhaust fan so that not only do the mirrors fog, but the exterior room windows fog. Another unpleasant surprise was that there was no mini refrigerator or microwave. The three hotels that cost ½ and even 1/3 less included these amenities. Outside the elevators the map and legend showed us the purpose of the hotel. The 2nd floor rooms surrounded conference rooms and the Grand Ballroom encompassed the entire 3rd floor. It is easy to understand that corporate and government sponsored conferences will fill these rooms for the conference rooms alone. In summary if you are a family or a couple wanting a nice stay in a luxury hotel look elsewhere.

The hotel is in a bad neighborhood and its about $40 a night over priced.

Excellent, with very friendly staff

Very clean exits are rather far apart. Won't rebook do to their pet policy. We were eating at the bar area and a patron was allows to have her dog up to the table.

My daughter's power was out due to a snow storm had to book a hotel to stay in for the night the next day she delivered her baby. When I first tried to check in they said our room was not ready yet they had only 3 housekeeping staff show up that day. I came back 2 hours later and they told me the same thing. I explained to them that my daughter is pregnant and we needed our room as soon as possible. The gentleman waiting on us upgraded our room and got us right in. I really appreciated that.

Upon arrival at the hotel I was quickly greeted by a front desk representative. Valerie and Jessica assisted me in checking into my room. Jessica worked on a special request I made, while Valerie did the paperwork and room keys. The room was spacious and had a bit slower internet speed than expected. I was pleased to see the room was clean and the bed was comfortable for my wife and newborn. We had a great view of the courtyard and swimming pool area. The maintenance staff took care of my request and it made my stay the Hilton more enjoyable traveling with a baby. The Grand Cafe' was a fairly priced eatery since it was easily located by the hotel lobby. The one thing I would change is the A/C unit in the room, it cut off and on throughout the night. The constant shutdown and restart of the unit made sleeping at night difficult. Everyone was hard at work keeping the facility clean after a recent ice/snow storm in the area during the holidays. The staff was very friendly and accomodating to the needs of guest which makes you want to stay longer and return again. The hotel is just blocks away from Park Plaza mall and 10 minutes away from McCain mall. It's located just off the interstate for easy access. Overall I would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel to anyone! Jessica was awesome, Valerie was very helpful and sweet as well. Job well done by the mgmt staff and crew #need a raise $$$# at the medical center location!! Thanks for making our stay a pleasant one!!! :)
