Nothing special, but a decent price

Posted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: Air conditioner was fantastic and kept the room cold. Breakfast was good when they staff wasn't removing it from in front of me.
Cons: The staff at check in were fine, but the remainder of the staff in the hallways and at breakfast were rude and avoided eye contact.
Location: Not the best location. Downtown seemed to be a little run down. Close to a couple of the things we were there to do (Travelers, Zoo)
Our experience with this hotel was just so-so. I think a lot of that is due to the age of the general area. The parking garage was run down, parking garage elevators smelled of cigarette smoke, the staff was not the friendliest, our carpet was dirty, trash can not emptied, and mildew in the shower. Breakfast was served until 9:00 which was fine. But when I got down there at 8:59 there were people in line for breakfast and the staff was removing the food that had been set out. I was about to grab a yogurt and the staff removed the tray and put it on the cart to take to the back. I had to ask to grab it off the cart. Not sure why they were in such a rush with people still in line. Overall, it was a decent hotel at a reasonable rate. Just needs a little TLC.

Nice hotel, staff very helpful.

Pros: The safety for the elevator and the breakfast and paper. I liked the exercise room, just needed more equipment.
Cons: Add bottled water as part of the items left in the rooms. Also more soap. Grill should be opened longer and more choices.
Location: Location a little scary. I was told that it is not a safe area to walk in. There were adequate restaurants nearby, as well as the hotel grill.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The pillows were very comfortable. The carpet was clean. The bathrooms were okay.

The hotel was functional - needs a complete rehab, much of the furniture, paint, rugs, etc. were worn, had stains, etc.

Downtown Little Rock

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: Location to Downtown was good. Parking was complimentary. Good quality bed.
Cons: Staff and attitude for starters, then tackle the breakfast buffet.
Poor check in as staff were overworked with questions and not taking care of customers. Breakfast was poor with staff having a bad attitude about serving and replacing food items. Garbage bins were overflowing and long time to wait for replenishment of items that had been consumed, also very poor selection of cereals unlike other La Quintas. Overall very disappointing.

Overnight stay

Posted May 1, 2014
When walking in the door, it was immediately apparent that this was once a very nice hotel. However, with use and time, it has become rather worn. The room furniture was chipped and damaged. The carpet was vacuumed, but otherwise filthy with stains. The bathroom had mold on the walls. Only one plug-in on one outlet worked. When I tried to find another outlet behind the bed, I immediately abandoned that idea, due to the amount of filth----dirt, hair, spilled snacks from previous guests, etc.

Location: It is within walking distance to the downtown area of Little Rock where the historic sights are.
I stayed for three nights and was comfortable. There is a microwave and fridge in the room.

Convenient location

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, price, comfortable.
Cons: Remodel rooms.
Location: Downtown and minutes from Riverfront and Clinton library. They run a shuttle to locations.
Very convenient and very friendly hotel. Time to upgrade the rooms as they are showing wear.
