Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Very reasonable rates. Great food although the restaurant just opened so some fine tuning is needed

Nice historic hotel in Littleton, NH

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: Its charm
Location: Go to enjoy some excellent beers at Schiling, by the river
The Thayers Inn in Littleton, NH, was just what I expected – a nice little historic hotel. And if you like those you are going to like this one too. It is not grand, and, indeed, pretty small, but you can feel that history. The hallways and stairs are the nicest, not so much the rooms. But the rooms were really adequate, comfortable and clean enough. The wi-fi was working. I have opted for a hot buffet breakfast which they offer for an extra fee of around 7$, that was not sumptuous but good enough. Location is great, right in the heart of a very charming downtown Littleton.

Charming and A Trip Down Memory Lane

Posted Aug 13, 2014
So fun to stay in such an old, historic hotel. Loved the little museum in the lobby, and the Pollyanna Room on the 2nd floor. Since the hotel was built in 1834 you can't expect modern luxury. But if historic charm is high on your list, along with creaky pine floors and victorian decor, this place is right up your alley. Our room was spacious, with pleasing decor and all in good working order. Hotel exterior on sides and back definitely needed a coat of paint and roof appeared to be in the process of re-fuburshing. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful with dinner recommendations in the area. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Although hotel was under repair the facilities were functioning and the history just seeped out. Good location.

Historic hotel in the Green Mountains of NH.

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: It was located in the center of town. Learning the hotel's history was fun.
Cons: Continental breakfast should be included with price of hotel.
Location: It was located in the heart of the White Mountains and we could eaily reach hiking trails and ski lifts.
We had one of the larger rooms with a very comfortable king sized bed. Beautifully decorated room.

Old does not equal charming!

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The staff was pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Millions of dollars of tasteful updates.
Location: lovely landscape
We hated it! - Third floor: no elevator - Furnishings: looked like they were from a garage sale - Exposed Piping: at least seeing them minimized our fear of the place being a fire trap - Incredibly Uneven Floors: the possibility of "structural issues" entered my mind. -Bathroom: completely out of date -Value: Note even cheap Truly awful.

Unique lodging experience.

Posted Aug 1, 2014
Cons: Continental breakfast was coffee and packaged pastries.
We were not real sure about the "Family Suite" which this hotel offered and was pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the "suite". The "suite" was two rooms put together for one reasonable price and worked out great for our family. The staff was nice most especially Cory who greeted us and provided wonderful hospitality. A wonderful surprise for a great price.

Charming hotel close to the White Mountains

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Cons: The continental breakfast could use some improvement with an assortment of fresh pastries, a way of heating them, and more variety in fruit provided.
Location: Littleton is handy to both Franconia Notch and Crawford Notch state parks, skiing and hiking destinations. The mountainous area is beautiful.
The architecture is old-world traditional, rich hardwood floors, pretty staircases and lighting. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The location is easy to access, convenient for strolling the village in charming downtown Littleton, New Hampshire, and a close and easy drive to great hiking trails and other outdoor pursuits in the White Mountains.
