Good locationPosted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Staff, location, bedding.
Cons: Shower head but way too low, same with sink. Wifi unstable.
Location: Bold Street, Fleet Street, Liverpool One, Albert Docks, Tate, Slavery Museum, Liverpool Museum.
Really good location to shops, docks & bars/restaurants. Really friendly staff, especially night staff - they lock the front door at 10.30pm for security, so it's good to make friends so you're easily recognised. Room was lovely though no fridge or safe, really noisy from room next door, bad drainage on first day & night, bathroom didn't match the luxury of the rest of the room.

62 Castle StreetPosted Feb 13, 2015 on Hotels
I’ve been staying at 62 Castle Street for a number of years and I really like the Hotel. However, it’s not as good as it once was. The rooms need a little TLC as plaster is cracked and generally the room I stayed in could do with a lick of paint. Also my room which was on the 3rd Floor was quite dark. The window in the room is small for such a big room therefore there is not much natural light getting in and the small number of lamps don’t really offer enough light to compensation. However, when I have stayed on other floors I have found the windows are much bigger and you get more natural light. It’s also worth pointing out that the restaurant attached to the hotel isn’t owned by the hotel and as such it shut down recently. While there is a perfectly adequate café across the road I was a little disappointed as when I’m away on business I don’t really want to leave the hotel until the last-minute as I have work to do. Please don’t take this review as being overly negative as the hotel is genuinely really nice, it’s a grad 2 listed building and the staff are very helpful. If they can sort out the small issues it would be a great place to stay rather than just a good place to stay.

Love itPosted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Great character and location - love the rooms with balcony
Cons: its an old building so a few niggles - i.e. noisy pipes in the toilet
Location: Close to the glamorous center - walking distance to the peer/harbour so great places to dine and drink (it was summer though)
Great character and location - love the rooms with balcony

Nice and central hotel. Shopping, dining and pubs within a short walking distance. Large and cosy rooms.

Very central and good for shops. No parking on site but close enough with discounted prices. Nil noise from neighbouring bar

Huoneen laatutaso oli hyvä ja kaupungin yöelämän melut eivät haitanneet yöunia. Palvelu oli kunnossa ja hotellin sijainti on keskustaan nähden hyvä.
