Promised a lot but it has a problem.Posted Dec 9, 2013
Pros: Big rooms, helpful staff.
Cons: Get a hot water system that works
Location: Liverpool town centre!
We found the 62 well located and rooms well proportioned. Its great for access into the city centre for shopping, restaurant and the clubs but we won't be staying there again. The problem centres around hot water. When we get away we like to be able to enjoy a hot bath, how crazy does that sound? But there seems to be a problem with the understanding for the need to supply hot water at this hotel. For me hot water is such that you would be unable to leave you hand under a running tap for longer than say 10s. This is too long for most other hotels I've stayed, however at the 62 I would still be there now, and probably being treated for frostbite. Its a little noisy but that's due to the location.

Great hotel in a good location however some points of note that people booking wouldn't necessarily be aware of - the hotel restaurant only opens Wed to Sat and the bar is only open Tues to Sat. There is NO room service either during these closed times - how a night porter cant serve a soft drink, a beer or a glass of wine in a 20-odd bedroom hotel is beyond me. You would think the hotel would even have a limited selection of drinks and snacks on offer but no, its closed! Don't be there on a Sun or a Mon night if you want to relax with a meal and a drink! On a positive note, the hotel staff were very understanding when we gave this feedback directly and pointed out the nearby Sainsburys and Spar stores for stocking up. Very nice room and very spacious at very affordable rates.- breakfast also very reasonable if you want to add as an extra.
