Did the businessPosted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: The price was good and the breakfast was first class. The staff were friendly. The woman on the front desk during the day was charming
Cons: The room was not en suite. That was OK but the hall and the shower room were cold and that was not OK.
Location: The hotel is in a rough area of Liverpool. During the day it is fine to walk into town. After dark get a cab (normally about £5 or £6)
Liverpool hotels were ridiculously expensive on this weekend. This place was the only one to have a room at a reasonable rate. Therefore its basic but reasonable

Fint ophold tæt på AnfieldPosted Jan 1, 2015 on Hotels.com

15 minutes walk from city centre...Posted Aug 28, 2014
...but in a very run down area. The hotel is about the only building nearby not boarded up. Hotel is on a dual carriage way. 15 minutes walk to city centre, but there is a nearby bus stop. Room adequate. Breakfast good, but early finish.

Much more than meets the eyePosted Jul 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
Excellent stay. Couple bought grade 2 listed property thinking area was about to be developed. Planning delayed 10 years. Accommodation refurbished to high standard with comfrotable beds, excellent linen and quality furnishings. Bar has entrance onto street of a run down area and therefore hsa not been refurbished and does let the property down and won't be to everyones liking. However there's no point them upgrading this until the area is improved.Service is good. Rear rooms are best for a quiet night. Showers and amenities excellent. Breakfast room is 'converted' pool room of main bar but is light and airy and breakfast is good. Not everyones cup of tea, but once you get past the 'speakeasy' type entrance, the hotel is fine. 2.5 miles from town centre on main bus routes. Parking is free but is street side and is of questionable security. I parked my car all day and it was OK. Make your own judgement.
