“Convenient but not fancy”

Great location - close to trendy Albert Docks area and Liverpool One Mall. Staff was not onsite so any enquiries needed a telephone (not provided in room) or a taxi ride. Staff at check-in did not give me correct directions to room so I wasted thirty minutes wandering around with luggage before calling. Kitchen and main living area were clean and comfortable but carpets in bedrooms were filthy. Beds were comfortable and layout gave lots of privacy. Bathroom caulking and tile grout were mildewed. Overall, not a bad place but more like three star furnished room in a four-star neighbourhood.

“Shabby Chic :(”

We arrived late in the evening; you have to check in at another location and pick up the key, then go to the apartment. The apartment was filthy. The carpets were dirty (and fastened down with duck tape), the furniture was shabby. The kitchen surfaces and utensils were not clean. We would not use the kitchen facilities as everything was so dirty. The bathroom had something left down the tile wall (!?), the shower was dirty and the shower curtain was stained. We tried to use the bathroom in the morning without touching anything. The beds were very uncomfortable; the double bed sagged in the middle so we spent all night clinging to the edges. The next day I asked for a change of room, which they arranged. The second room was better, but still looked grubby. Best avoid Urban Chic. Don't be fooled by the four stars.

We were extremely disappointed with the standard of the accommodation and the attitude of the staff at reception. The overall standard was two star at best, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, inadequate amenities provided and all rooms were dirty. The only good thing was the location. It really did spoil our time in Liverpool.
