Liyang is located 65 miles (105 kilometers) away from Hangzhou and about 95 miles (153 kilometers) from Jiaxing.
Savvy travelers often use Liyang as a springboard for further adventures. Jiangsu is blessed with a treasure-trove of great cities, attractions and landscapes. Jintan, is 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the south, and Lishui sits 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the southeast.
When it's time to explore beyond Liyang, visit the nearest regional center. Zhenjiang is situated 55 miles (89 kilometers) away and is home to sights like Zhenjiang Museum, North Solid Bay Plaza and Zhenjiang Stadium. Dantu Square and Wat Saket are also good places to head to.
Head to Jiangsu's craft workshops. These are good places to explore, especially when the weather is unpleasant.
Cool off upon the region's waters by going boating or fishing.
One of the pleasures of exploring the world's many cultures is using languages you aren't familiar with, so why not practice some rudimentary Mandarin during your vacation. "Nǐ yào bú yào gēn wǒ tiàowǔ" is a good one to try. In English, it means "Would you like todance with me?" And also "Zhèiwèi xiānsheng huì qīngdān", which means "This gentleman/lady will pay for everything"
You'll be sad to say "Zàijiàn" (farewell) to this special part of the world.
