Relax and enjoy good, local food...
Samphires restaurant, with its sweeping views of the Gower Peninsular and Carmarthen Bay make it the perfect setting for a romantic meal, special celebration or simply an opportunity to unwind. The highly skilled head chef ensures a range of dishes to suit all tastes with a special focus on local produce... Ymlaciwch a mwynhewch fwyd lleol da.
Review, Kate Clarke (South Wales Evening Post)
''With a menu offering so many inventive dishes we couldn't pass over the starters, so I opted for nettle and spinach soup with rarebit, which was vibrant and clean-tasting as I had hoped. My partner fancied the five-spiced duck with bok choy salad, which looked like a mini work of art and got top marks from him. His main course of roast lamb with apricot stuffing impressed him too, with its slow-cooked tenderness and rich flavours.
A glass of rose and a Jameson or two rounded the night off nicely in one of the most inviting restaurants in town."
Chef Name & Background:
Executive Head Chef Stewart Williams has 22 years of experience in providing fine cuisine to his customers. Trained locally in Carmarthenshire he then went on to increase his repertoire by studying in France for a year. After returning from France he spent three years working in some of the most prestigious restaurants in London. Stewart is a big advocate of classic British food given a modern twist. Stewart also teaches his culinary art part-time in the local college he attended as a youth.
Samphires uses fresh local produce wherever possible to support local trade and to ensure the freshest ingredients are used to make the most delicious food. Our menu changes seasonally to fit this important criteria so that we always have fresh locally sourced ingredients to create the finest quality dishes.
