Good wedding venuePosted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: The general style and the friendly staff.
Cons: There seems to be an issue with accounting as other meals and drinks were added to our bill
Location: Dynover house(NT) and the Brecon Beacons are all in a manageable drive. We had a good day looking around.
We found the hotel difficult to find, it needs a larger sign visible from the road. Room was fine as was the restaurant. All the staff very friendly but all seemed to respond " No problem" to anything we said. The thought is good but it gets a bit wearing. Ther was a wedding in progress when we arrived on Friday and on Saturday there was another wedding, a 50th Wedding anniversary and 2 birthdays so the locals obviously like it

A warm Welsh welcome!Posted Sep 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Once we had found the hotel - thank god for google maps - we were greeted warmly by reception staff. Our room was on the ground floor, and our first impressions were that it was very hot with no aircon. We overlooked the top car park and could just about see the coast in the distance to soften the view. The room was a good size with a lovely large bed, cosy duvet and pillows too. We felt the bathroom was a but tired, but it served a purpose and the water was hot. Plenty of breakfast was served in the restaurant, staff were really friendly and helpful. We felt our stay was marred by the late and loud noise from a wedding party - it was the guests returning the their rooms that kept us awake tho, not the party. We would return to fully explore and relax but only on a non party weekend or weekday.

Over whelmed staffPosted Sep 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
We have had a wonderful time on a previous occasion when the staff seemed less hassled. This time all their attention seemed focused on a small business convention. The receptionist was snappy and the WiFi was unavailable in our room. The biggest complaint was the dining room. For dinner and the excellent self serve breakfast we were relegated to the stuffy windowless back room, which became a sort of Clapham Junction for servers as they crisscrossed in and out of the kitchen. Dinner, which was more about show than substance took about three hours so we decided to forego dessert because of our frustration at watching everyone in the main dining room get served. The wait staff were young and enthusiastic but somewhat addled and clueless. Our overall thought was that they needed to be corralled and given some serious training before being allowed to serve the public. The same could be said on this occasion about the bar where nobody has any idea how to make a Martini even under instruction by a guest.

Everything Worked.Posted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: They're all in with Tripadvisor, inviting all comment. It shows.
Cons: HDMI input to the room TVs
Location: LLanelli is halfway betwen Tenby and the Gower coast. On the edge of the town are big retail parks and supermarkets.
Every light. fan, shower worked. Every member of staff responded with efficiency. This place is well maintained and well run. Therefore it is easy to relax.

This is the third time we have stayed at the Stradey Park since May and we have been extremely pleased. Although on a couple of occasions there have been Weddings, this has not effected us and there has been no noise in our room. This time we had room 307 which had an excellent view.

Good base for sightseeing.Posted Aug 19, 2013
Good experience the staff were welcoming, professional and friendly. Found the rooms a bit dark (very small windows) and pokey but spotlessly clean. The overall ambience is rather dark with heavy furniture. However the roof bar was totally different and the staff were more than happy to bring refreshments up to the bar. Spectacular views from this bar. Food very good, generous amounts served. We enjoyed our stay very much.
