Pros: The friendly staff and breakfast!
Cons: Didn't see anything that I was disappointed about but this will vary from person to person so you be the judge. Keep in mind this is not 5 star.
Location: Scope out Llano on line for things to do but we enjoyed Stonewalls and a walk down main street. Again, the owner/ operator is very knowledgeable.
This motel is just across the bridge from the main part of Llano, Tx. llano is not big at all but is very quaint. We stayed here so we could have easy access to the state parks in the area. In July I know better than to tent camp in Texas so we opted for the comfort of a/c and shower after each day of trekking. This was a great idea! The price was better than most anywhere near Austin and it allowed us more flexibility in travel. The small town feel was really nice. The amenities were comparable to similar places, nothing fancy but well kept. The complimentary breakfast was nice with an abundance of choices for everyone from cereal to Texas shaped waffles. Coffee brewing all the time and the owner/operator is very pleasant and full of knowledge of the area. We have stayed there twice now and will stay again next summer!

Too expensive for what they have to offer

Location: On the outskirts of Llano.
The hotel is an old fashioned Best Western---nothing but the room. The breakfast was pretty, but they forgot my wakeup phone call, which didn't get me excited. The hotel provides very basic facilities, therefore paying $89 is $20 too much.

Llano TX, Best Western

Pros: Easy to find and the rooms were sized just right.
Cons: Bigger shower/tub would have been nice. Couldn't get the high speed internet service to work.
Location: Gold prospecting on the Llano river was fun. Lots of antique and specialty stores to visit. Since there is no Wal-Mart, the people looked normal.
Staff was attentive and wonderful. Breakfast was great too. Quaint town and folks were friendly. We will go back again soon!
