"From the welcome when we arrived to the moment we left we felt valued and well taken care of. Drinks in the relaxed bar before dinner, the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in for a very long time, super bed linen, soft towels and a lovely view across the English Bridge. Then the best breakfast I’ve had in a very long time too. I really appreciated the decor at the Lion and Pheasant, very stylish, with what looks like Farrow and Ball Light Blue on woodwork throughout which made the thoughtfully modernised old building appear very tastefully fresh, nothing stuffy and dated here. "

"The Prince Rupert is peffectly located in the heart of the city, yet quiet and comfortable. The staff were perhaps the most friendly I have ever encountered as a whole team at any hotel ever. I also found that the hotel was very scentless - though very clean, they must use products without strong smells, which I appreciated as I have a reaction to scents. Just a very lovely stay overall! Our room #304 had the best balcony, and I would recommend requesting it when the weather is warmer. "

"Staff were great, hotel in general good. The amenities pool, workout area, showers left me cold. The treadmills are dusty, dirty, screens did not work and were nasty. The entire room needs a thorough clean. We had a wonderful family breakfast and it was wonderful. "

"My husband and I stayed here for the second year running for our wedding anniversary and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were helpful and friendly at check in. Our double room was comfortable, spacious and clean. The spa was £10pp for hotel residents that hadn’t booked direct but it was worth it. I also paid for a neck shoulder and back massage - would highly recommend Tracy! Dinner was in the Courtyard restaurant - we had 3 courses and a bottle of wine for under £100 and there were plenty of vegetarian options for us! The bed was comfortable and we slept for 9 hours! Check out was 11. We would have got breakfast if we hadn’t slept in! We hope to come back next year for our 3 year anniversary! "
