“Ideal for families who want to kick back and relax”

Cala Pi was fabulous, but we werent prepared for just how quiet, remote & beautifully unspoilt it is. The hotel has a restaurant with an a la carte menu & a half board buffet style menu & the food is plentiful, varied & good but there are about 6 restaurants (Greek, Spanish, pizzeria) & 2 small shops. It took a couple of days for us to switch off but you soon get into doing nothing! If you dont want to hire a car there is an airconditioned bus which makes 2 journeys a day to Arenal & Palma for about 10 euro pp return. Our daughter (17) wanted to visit them for a shopping fix, the bus takes about 45 mins & after an hour or so in Arenal, we couldnt wait to get back! The hotel is very continental with the majority being Spanish! There were people from all over Europe & very few Brits! The kids club, didnt have many English speaking kids in it but, our son (9) palled up with a French lad & had a fab time! Staff work hard to please with activities all day for adults & kids & entertainment at night. Both pools were clean & well kept, with plenty of umbrellas & sunbeds. Cala Pi would suit a family that wants to relax & spend time together but with some entertainment as well. It would make a great base if you hire a car to see the rest of the island, but beware, you soon get used to the peace. If you want a typical tourist/Brit resort - this wont be for you. Cala Pi was a bit of a shock at first, but we can honestly say we had a fantastic time & would definitely go back.

“I love the place”

If you are looking for peace and quiet in the evenings I found this place ideal, you can actually walk down the street without getting run over. Entertainment and lights out most nights finished at 11:30. If you have an apartment looking over the pool can be a bit noisey but that you would expect. This is a multi national resort which makes a change. Good selection of dishes in the restaurant. Apartments were fine, clean and tidy but don't expect the Ritz.

“Cala Pi Club”

A very enjoyable a relaxing stay. Room was very clean and comfortable. Setting is fantastic - a wonderfully quiet inlet with a secluded beach. Service and food was top notch with special consideration given to children.

“Cala Pi club apartments, Majorca”

A fantastic place, the staff couldn't do enough. Room was cleaned almost every day, the animation team were excellent and the reception staff were very helpful. We went for the half board option and the food was great too, It was a buffet and there was something for everyone. I am extremely fussy but even I found food I liked. I thought the only negatives were that the hot water ran out too quickly and the resort was a bit out of the way. We went for 2 weeks without a car. They do run excursions but they are quite expensive. There is a kids club and a few activities for the adults in the daytime as well as entertainment in the evening. Overall it was a very enjoyable holiday and we will be going back there but next time we will hire a car so we are not so cut off from the rest of the island.

“Fantastic for young families”

Fantastic 2 bed apartments. Great for kids. Lovely pools. Quite a lot of steps to beach, nut not a problem for my 2 year old!!! Beach seemed v safe. Stock up on any food required for self catering in Palma as hotel shop v expensive for some things (prices in euros milk 2.50, 200g cheese 4+, margarine - v small tub 2.5+). Bread lovely, fresh at least twice daily and reasonably priced, though! We stayed in room 10 which had a massive balcony and a view of the beach (one of the few rooms which did) which I would highly recommend although not yet been refurbished, standard was still ok... Otherwise ask for a pool view!

“Great!!”

The apartment was clean and very spacious. It was well thought out, with fully equipped kitchen and utility area. Setting and arrangement of the hotel is very attractive. It is the only hotel in Cala Pi with 2/3 other restaurants. No other nightlife. Especially at this time of year it was very quiet, ideal for us. Pool was great although not heated so cold in October. We ate a few meals in the restaurant which were ok but not remarkable - buffet style. Maybe better earlier in the season. Staff were friendly and helpful. Any problems were dealt with promptly. We would recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again.

“A hidden treasure”

If you want to enjoy a quieter side of Mallorca this is the place to be. Very good accomodation, restuarant - especially the buffet breakfast. Beach access via steps so you need to be fit! Will go again.

“Super resort”

Good clean hotel with friendly staff in a super quiet location. There is no real night life here in Cala Pi but it is expanding. There is a Brit run bar with Sky for the footie. A little far from the best cycling roads for me but it is a great place for a quiet holiday on this lovely islang

“Great for quiet family holiday”

Our 1st family trip to the Med (kids aged 7, 8 & 9). It was great value for money for family of five in May 2007. Hotel superb and free of "boozing Brits" Mostly professionals & older German couples. We couldn't do it all in 7 days. Beach great for youngsters who all learnt to snorkel in calm sheltered waters of the cove. Otherwise 2 great pools and good well priced local restaurants within walking distance. Drove to Llucmajor supermarket & stocked up for the week for under 80 euro. Also bought 3 days (flexible) half-board at hotel which was good value, esp breakfast. Kids club and nightly entertainment a little unsophisticated by British standards, but no extra cost and very quaint. Good Flamenco dancing show one night, and kids enjoyed a nightly "mini disco" after supper. Food perfectly adequate - tasty and good variety. Staff very friendly and helpful. Drove to Magaluf water park followed by Pirates Adventure dinner - latter was expensive (230 Euro for the show plus KFC-style "supper" of chicken, potato wedges, coleslaw and beans for family of five). Heavily geared to the ave British package traveller, but a nice day out on the whole and impressive show. Also drove to a local Mass and rest of Sunday to Porto Cristo on east coast of island; visited Coves del Draco (Dragon's Caves) there which was inexpensive and interesting. Had such a great holiday that my wife wants to return for her 40th birthday later this year and none of the children wanted to leave the place.

“Lovely place but nothing to do AT ALL!”

Hotel was great in all aspects, except the food, which, the only time we ate there was buffet night on our arrival, where the food was an odd combination & barely luke warm. After that we ate in the surrounding 3 restaurants that were open, which were lovely. Supermarket on complex was unblievably expensive, suggest using the local one up the road. Only 1 bus in & 1 bus out of the place with a 10 hour break in between - hire a car or save alot of money for taxis otherwise you will go insane. No major points points of interest in the area, research area before you travel so you know your limitations. Walking was good although limited & steps up past beach were very dangerous & slippery, with no actual safety rails. The gym was the only awful aspect of the hotel - it had ancient equipment, most of which was broken, only use if you know what you are doing. Would reccommend to people who really want to relax & do nothing - not if you want to do any site seeing, shopping or want a bit of nightlife. Hotel & staf were fab, but would never in a million years go back again, I have never been so bored in my life & spent so much money doing it.
