“Clean, comfortable, quiet. Will return.”
Very comfortable, clean, quiet, free WiFi, and a good hot breakfast. After looking for hours on the internet for a hotel in the Stockton area and being so disappointed after reading reviews --- I feel that I really lucked out in finding this hotel in Lodi. It definitely meets our standards and we were very comfortable during our stay. I found shopping, restaurants, a lake and other attractions close by. I used the exercise facilities on site every day - very nice. We will be returning two to three times per month while my husband works in Stockton, so we will be repeat customers. Thanks.
“Perfect for a wine tasting trip...”
Lodi was the last California wine frontier for Mom and me. Napa. Been there. Sonoma. Done that. Russian River. Check. Monterey. Uh-huh. Santa Barbara County...we love Santa Ynez. Temecula. Eh, yeah, but we don't admit it. We've even made it to Mendocino County. So, this time it was Lodi or bust. We planned on finding a lovely little B&B to make this trip extra special. Strangely enough, there really isn't much in the way of this type of place in Lodi. So, we opted for clean and economical, hoping that we'd at least end up with clean. Our jaws dropped upon pulling into the Best Western. "Hey, we exclaimed, this place is cute!" After all, we had expected plain and passable. Instead, there were cute flowers on the property, planted in wine barrels. The rooms are clean and plenty large. The in-room fridge was a great place to store our cheese and chocolate...necessary snack items to accompany our wine. The price was right. The location was perfectly central to Lodi's vineyards, tasting rooms, and downtown. If you are thinking Lodi or bust, stop here.
“Good stay in Lodi”
Little noisy. Lots of doors shutting. Eggs bad at breakfast; waffles good. It was an OK motel, but pushing the price--ie a little on the expensive side for what we got.
“Fair Value”
We picked this hotel because we were bringing a small dog with us, and there weren't many pet friendly hotels in Lodi. This worked out great. Overall the hotel and rooms seemed to be in pretty good condition. Our carpet seemed to be a little old, but otherwise things seemed pretty clean. One nice feature for those with dogs is a small grassy area (with lights) behind the hotel where you can take your dog out if you need to. The complimentary breakfast was pretty decent. If I remember correctly it included: fresh waffles, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, bagels, toast, danish and cereal along with coffee, orange juice, apple juice and milk. I would stay here again if I needed a place in Lodi. Here's another tip for dog owners: We had a wedding to attend, and weren't sure what to do with our little dog. We discovered a little doggie daycare place a couple of blocks away on Lodi Avenue called K-9 Country Club. We left our dog there for about 7 hours on Saturday. They only charged $12 and our dog got to play instead of being locked up alone in our room.
“Ok for a short stay”
The room was clean but the mattress was a bit old and had a "u" shape to it.
“Won't come back.”
The carpet was sticky in places, the staff was indifferent to requests. A friend of mine had his reservation cancelled without being contacted.
