The place is basic and not new, but reasonably comfortable. I was pleased to have free internet and a microwave and fridge in my room for so little cost. The shower was problematic.

“Good for the rate”

I used this as a stopover late one night on my way to an event early the next morning. It is a traditional motel set near Hwy 99 in a somewhat run-down part of town, down the street a ways from the newer chains. It is a convenient drive to the Sierra foothills via Hwys 12 and 88. I got a huge room which was evidently handicap-accessible although I don't use a wheelchair. Everything was pretty much in order; the furniture was kind of cheap and a bit spartan. The cleaning smell was fresh though a bit overwhelming. My only real complaint was that the shower head, I think because it was accessible, consisted of a wand attached by a flexible hose. It wouldn't stay fixed in its holder at a good angle so I was forced to hold it in one hand even if I didn't want to. I didn't bother to change rooms since it was so late. Overall, it was fine for the rate; nice proprietor; clean room; I didn't expect much to begin with.

“Bring your own heater and blow dryer”

I would not recommend this hotel because it is old and many things do not work. The price was not high, but should've been lower for what it offered.

It's not in a very good part of town. Very outdated motel in general. There is a sports bar next to the motel and it comes alive at 10pm with lots of loud patrons. My family and I did not feel comfortable at all and did not feel safe.
