World place ever! Thank god we got home safely!
The most terrible stay ever. Staff were rude! They made us to pay a second time at the hotel and when we asked them to check this they called the police and we got evicted even though we had paid for hotel for 3 nights. They would not refund any money. We ended up paying for 3 nights and only stayed one night. When the police arrived they told the police I was drunk because I had ordered 2 single cocktails - one was yet not even touched when the incident took place. There is a zero alcohol tolerance in Poland so even after one drink you are assumed to be drunk and disorderly! I’m a U.K. citizen and well travelled and have never experienced anything like this anywhere in the world! After this incident we moved to another hotel called Kossak which was outstanding. We explained our experience to the staff and they told us that these small village hotels try and swindle people who don’t speak the language! This put me off Poland for life! Only stay at this hotel if you want to be abused / swindled and not have any rights!

Overall experience was good, but I'd expect the hotel to ensure that organised events do not affect other guests. There was a wedding taking place at the hotel during my stay which resulted in lack of sleep due to the noise.

Hotel room was fab wanted to extend another day but hotel was fully booked. Room clean, water, tea and coffee provided. (no milk for the tea) Shower was amazing, towels were a bit well used, could have been nicer. On the whole good experience. Breakfast was varied but did not include yoghurt.

Fantastic Lodz hotel
I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Tobaco. I thought it was good value. The one thing that stood out for me was the breakfast. Next time in Lodz, I will book with them.

This is a pretty new hotel or at least reconditioned recently and I can easily say that I've had a pleasant stay. Their restaurant was amazing (breakfast or a la carte ), the gym was a bit small but it was enough for some cardio and the only thing which I disliked was the wifi which was pretty slow.

Rooms look much bigger in the pictures. Bathroom quite small and bit old fashioned.Breakfast was not great. Service is ok they don’t seem to bothered.

Long weekend in Lodz, Poland
Lodz is well worth a visit if you like a city off the beaten track. There is lots to see and do and we only scratched the surface. Public transport is excellent. Hotel Tobaco is a perfect base in a lovely building which has been sympathetically modernised.

Cool hotel in old tobacco factory
Only stayed for one night but had a great stay. The building is very cool and the rooms are super cozy. Great shower. There's a restaurant which is pretty good. Close to Manufaktura shopping area. Pretty solid, I'd stay there again.

I would like to preface saying that most people do not seem to have any problems with the few things that bother me: As you can tell from other reviews and the awards received this is a popular boutique hotel with a lot going for it and a comparatively reasonable price when ordering through hotels.com. However it *is* a three and not four star hotel. Little things make that clear such as how parking is handled and the state of room key card readers. Rumble from passing trams is also felt on one side of the hotel. Again, most of this might not bother you; but I did feel the need to add this side of the story and get my hotels.com bonus rewards.

the room was much smaller than I expected, the pillows were not good and we supposed to stay in the first /second floor, but the WIFI connection was very weak Then the counter has arranged us to the room which closes to the concierge then it was fine at the end but it takes us extra time to change of room and thus we were not able to visit the museum. anyway the hotel is near the train station

Hotel Tobaco
The hotel and location are very good, just a few minutes walk from the main street in Lodz. I did suffer with the heat in the hotel room during the night and it was not possible open the window due to the road traffic noise.

Lovely modern hotel
My daughter and I checked in on Friday and left on the Sunday. Its about 20 minutes to walk to the main street but there are trams and buses outside the hotel if you prefer. It was comfortable, clean and the breakfast was lovely.

New hotel converted from old cigarette factory
Great new hotel. Nicely decorated spacious rooms with high ceiling. One wall kept its original character with red bricks and cement finish-really impressive. We loved the breakfast in the morning.

ciekawy obiekt, piekne podworze , odrestaurowana fabryka wyrobów tytoniowych. Wystrój wnetrz miał być chyba elegancki, wyszedł smutno brudny. Pokój mały , okno wychodzące na ulice,gdzie jeżdzą tramwaje, więc głośno nad ranem. Śniadanie dobre, ale znów miejsce przytłaczające. Ciekawy pomysł z hotelową księgarnia z pieknymi ksiązkami oraz sprzedaża ceramiki i rekodzieła wykonanego przez osoby upośledzone.

Bardzo dobre śniadania. Całkiem blisko centrum. Może przydałoby się małe odświeżenie ścian w pokoju - w kilku miejscach odeszła farba. Jeśli chodzi o czystość - oceniam na średnią. Sprzęt na mydło i papier toaletowy najtańszy - od tego typu hotelu spodziewałabym się wyższej jakości ułatwiającej użycie. Obsługa miła.
