Old but Good
Posted Jan 5, 2013
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Age of buildings
Location: Good location in Logan near the University.
This motel is an older property, but the room was clean and the staff was helpful. The breakfast was good. I booked this hotel as a Expedia Express deal and it was supposed to be a 3 star hotel. While I would not classify it as a three star hotel is is a decent place to stay. A little old but a good motel.

Nice Motel, Great Breakfast
Posted Jan 16, 2012
We were pleased with the cleanliness and condition of the room and appreciated the fact that the room had a fridge and microwave. The location was great, being close to campus. Although the motel is right on the main street, our room was set back and traffic noise was not an issue. The continental breakfast was great - french toast, eggs, sausage, muffins, bagels, toast, fruit, juice, milk, cereal, etc. We would have paid $5/plate or more at IHOP for a similar breakfast.

Not 3 star quality
Posted Jan 19, 2012
Location: Great location close to everything.
The air conditioner did not cool the room enough. The room was furnished adequately but bathroom fixtures are very old and room smelled musty. Old chairs are set outside of many of the rooms giving a run down appearance. The breakfast area is tiny with not enough space for guests and very difficult to move around in. All in all the hotel is okay but diffinately not 3 star quality and seemed over priced for what it was.

Good Value, Comfortable
Posted Jan 4, 2012
Good value and comfortable. Old hotel with pleasantly decorated room. Nice grounds and pretty location. Drawbacks: the room had a strong, musty smell despite appearing clean and the free breakfast was very skimpy compared to similar hotels. This hotel probably would not be a first choice on a return trip, but if I were booked into this hotel on a blind bid, I would be fine.

Everything OK except AC didn't work
Posted Jan 28, 2012
Pros: Pool
Cons: no AC, no response from maintenance
Location: close enough to walk to eat dinner
Room was fine, except the ac was not blowing cold air. Called and the front desk said they would call maintenance. No one came or called. I reported the issue again the next morning at check out. Pool was lovely and breakfast was good.

Home away from home

Pros: The cleanliness, the flower gardens, the desk clerks. In winter they had hot drinks and cookies in the lobby. Micro and fridge in room.
Cons: The breakfast first day was not so good, the second day was much better. They serve both hot and cold things, but they could jazz it up some.
Location: Great location. Close to downtown and some of the older buildings and churches. Convenient.
This is a great place to stay. I've been there twice and will be returning in a month. The service is good and the room is very clean. The whole property is very pretty with flower baskets hanging around pool area, etc. Don't expect too much from the breakfast, but it is adequate and the area is neat and clean. The menu changes somewhat daily--which iI liked. I'd recommend this motel to anyone.

2-Star Motel, not 3-Star Hotel
Posted Jan 14, 2012
Pros: leaving
Cons: noise and price
Location: on the busy main street
Avoid this one. The Baugh Motel in Logan, Utah, suffers from the same problems of every old motel: you hear the neighbors next to you, cars coming in and out, people walking and talking up and down stairs, and noisy metal doors slamming. You can count on being awakened and kept awake half the night, as I was, with such sounds. But my biggest complaint with this property and with Expedia is booking it blind as a 3-star hotel (at an alleged discount) for more money than anybody could book it directly.

Comfortable beds but little else
Posted Jan 3, 2012
Pros: beds
Cons: service, condition
Location: ok location - south end of town. Gia's (a good Italian restaurant) is very close.
Upon check-in, they tried putting me in a smoking room, even though I showed them I reserved non-smoking. Acting "put out" they finally found a non-smoking room for my wife, my 2yr old, 2 month old, and me. After sorting that all out, we went to get into our room and our keys wouldn't work. Went back to the front desk, they reprogrammed the keys and they still didn't work. Tried it again and they finally worked. Room overall was good. 2 double beds, microwave, and fridge. The bathroom was definitely from the 50's/60's. Pink tile, pinkish floor, old sink. Beds were comfortable. We stayed 2 nights and again on the second day, our keys wouldn't work. Had to have them reprogrammed yet again. The pool was closed but we were told the hot tub was open - it was not. The room cleaning was not done until between 3-4 pm and was akward because we were in the room while they cleaned (we were resting from a busy morning & afternoon). Overall the motel was comfortable, but the service was not at all as advertised (or the amenities). We will not stay here again, but who knows, different employees probably give very different service. But the condition of the motel doesn't seem like it will change for a while...

just fine

This Best Western was absolutely fine. Good location on Main street, but still quiet enough. Quiet fridge plus microwave. The breakfast was not good, though. Skip it.. going back to Logan, I'd stay here again

Great place to stay.

Our stay at the Baugh was great. The people that run it were over the top at making sure we had a great stay. Also the breakfast beat anything in town. The Motel is an older one, but has been updated and was very clean. The pool was great and heated even in mid-Sept. We will stay here again when we visit Logan.
