Nightmare in La Loire
Too many incidents to include in this review.Following the highlights:
Ibis Blois Centre Chateau trains its employees in La Santé Prision, otherwise I dealt with small village, narrow-minded, uneducated, and ignorant staff that are openly confrontational. Do not even think about a nice welcome and or a smooth check-in;
Forget about housekeeping: it is nonexistent. When I complained about it, the shift "manager" challenged me... twice! ,first, proposing a face-to-face with the maid, otherwise, directly with her. Needless to say, in the hotel business, not in a prision like Ibis Blois Centre Chateau, the issue will have been addressed immediately, without discussion and after apologising profusely. At least that has been my experience in 40 years of travelling. Later, this person offered no charge for breakfast in lieu of the circumstances (but no apologies whatsoever!). Too little, too late;
Very small rooms, mine looking to the town’s main street, very noisy all night long;
Granted, the hotel is in an excellent location, in a destination where the tourist area is so small location becomes irrelevant;
A light at the end of the tunnel: a decent breakfast overlooked by efficient staff and a very good deal for parking. Period.
