1st Stay in St Etienne (I will be back)
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and will be rebooking on my next trip to St Etienne. The staff on reception were extremally helpful and very welcoming which made for a very pleasing first Impression. Hotel is well situated and close to restaurants and bars.

Nice room. Took a while for me (Canadian) to get used to walking down a dark hallway waiting for the motion sensors to turn the lights on. Area around the hotel seems to have been hit hard by COVID, with lots of closed shops. But only 2-3 blocks from bar area, and a few more from restaurant area. Overall, given the circumstances (immediately post-COVID), thumbs up.

The staff was super nice and very helpful!!! They all went out of their way to make us very comfortable and helped us with our surroundings. The only thing we did not have is room service for the 4 nights. Had to go downstairs to the front office to get toilet paper. (I have never done that) the room was very specious and nice view of the park. Thank you again to the staff. Would go again.

I loved my room at CityLoft Aparthotel. It was spacoius, clean, and relaxing with very good facilities such as a hob and fridge. The facilities were excellent, the location was very handy for exploring the city. I chose the non-hotel price and opted for the breakfast and the selection was very good. Most of all the staff were so freindly and helpful. It was a very relaxing stay and I hope to return again one day.

Pleasant stay. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished. The breakfast was ok. The only problem is the lack of option to have dinner around this place.

Ideal location for visiting the city. Well equipped room but a bit dismal - could have done with better lighting. Long walk from the car park if you are loaded down with bags!

Good location. Clean and tidy. No water provided, which is unreasonable in this day and age. Staff just pointed people to the vending machine (€2 for 500ml) and doesn’t cater for cashless users.

The room was spacious and well set up for two adults and one child. Everything worked well. The main issue was the noise from the street out front of the property (facing Gambetta) which was extremely loud and occurred every night for most of the night. There seems to be a great number of drunk people yelling all night long just outside of this property. It is quite unfortunate because it is well located, and it really is a nice hotel with good staff.

Nice short visit
Excellent 1 night stay. Easy check in, large room with a nice kitchen. A covered parking lot was close by. Easy walk to most of town.

Highly recommended
I went with my dad and brother to see AS Saint-Etienne play a match. The hotel was ideal for our stay, close to the tram and to amenities such as restaurants =, bars etc. Highly recommended.

Very pleasant
This is a very nice hotel with the friendliest most helpful staff ever. Our booking had not gone through but the receptionist helped me get the room. The accomodations were most comfortable and recommendations for finnet on this rainy evening perfect!

I was on a visit to family. I needed a place close by and this was perfect. The only down side was my room faced the street and the early morning tram could be annoying. Otherwise, it was clean, comfortable and convenient.

Newer Business Hotel - Near Older Part of CIty
A pretty good hotel, part of the Adagio apartment-hotel chain. Staff is helpful and friendly. Rooms don't have much old-world charm or character, but they are new, clean and comfortable, and include a kitchenette. The ones in the front look out on the street (though late sleepers should beware of trash collection and other street noises beginning around 6AM). Some business travelers prefer the Ibis next to the train station, but if you're planning to eat, shop in, or simply enjoy the older part of St.-Etienne, the Adagio's location is far better.

We only stayed one night but the room was quite spacious and the restaurant just round the corner was great. This was a bonus as the rain was hammering down. Book L'Escargot D 'Or. You'll be glad you did. Handy supermarket also round the corner if you want a DIY breakfast.

Great front desk staff
I wanted to praise the front desk staff for their help with a puncture I had on my car. They liaised with the insurance company and arranged with the garage where the car was taken. Without their help, the remainder of my holiday would have ben ruined as I would have had to cancel my other hotels while travelling around France.

I have no issues with this hotel other than the concept of it being an apartment hotel but really it was fine. The rooms are well sized and it is well located. I would however say that despite asking for a non-smoking room I was placed in a smoking one. They did however switch me promptly. This is a no frills style hotel. Also the breakfast is pretty terrible so I would not spring for it.

Better than expectation
With the price paid, the overall satisfaction is better than expectation. Room is bigger than the comparable hotels in the neighborhood. Service was good. People were friendly and helpful.

Tram from station right to doorstep, fantastic location
Very handy location, 1 tram ride from Chateaucreux station to hotel. 5 minute walk to restaurants and pubs.Cooking facilities useful to keep costs down if necessary. Great for visiting kids at university here but not close enough to hear their partying!

Plutôt bien. Dommage que la chambre ait été celle de tout au bout du couloir loin loin loin, ça paraît être une expédition. Isolation moyenne vis à vis de la rue : quelques ivrognes dans la rue, bruyante vers 2 heures du matin puis à 3h30 puis reprise du bruit du tramway en fin de nuit. Double vitrage peu efficace. Proximité des halles trés sympa le dimanche matin.
