Surprisingly goodPosted Jun 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
I have seen these hotels on roundabouts and next door to used car lots but my preference has always Ben to look for somewhere more central. For various reasons we booked this one. The location was not good but very convenient, just off the motorway. First impression when checking in was how nice the stair ant area looked and friendliness of the receptionist. The room was excellent and spotlessly clean. Ours was well back from the road and faced the opposite direction to the motorway, hence was very quiet. There were only about 4 or 5 like this and I would guess that all the rest might be rather noisy. We decided to eat in the restaurant and had a very nice dinner at a very reasonable cost. Breakfast next morning was likewise. In conclusion, a smart clean modern and functional hotel and very very good value.

If you need to stay in the area, this is an excellent choicePosted Aug 14, 2009
This is an excellent hotel - the rooms are big, bright and extremely clean with a lovely bathroom, air conditioning, a modern TV and coffee making facilities. There is also free parking. Breakfast seemed a bit pricey at 9 euros and therefore I did not have it but I did have an excellent buffet dinner in the hotel restaurant the night before which was very reasonably priced. I thoroughly recommend this hotel if you need to stay in the area. At a quick glance, however, St Etienne appears to offer very little to the tourist although its location is convenient if breaking a journey

Good base to explore fromPosted Jul 10, 2008
Although it was next to a main road, the noise wasn't noticable as the rooms were well sound-proofed. Good if you plan to be out and about a lot, but not much to entertain at the actual hotel, and not central to St Etienne, but only 10min walk to main tram stop. Restaurant had fairly standard menu options, but a good buffet.

Clean,welcoming and very convenientPosted Sep 22, 2007
Very adjacent to the motor way and a busy travellers style clientile. Good soundproofing of the accommodation prevented intrusion of passing traffic. Choose buffet style evening meal and was not disappointed. Busy but pleasant. Would be happy to return.
