Luxury, and LocationPosted Aug 10, 2014
My friend and I had a wonderful stay here. The room was large and the decor throughout the hotel was beautiful. Everything spotless. The bathrooms were large and had nice amenities. The beds were very comfortable. Complimentary beverages and candy bars in the fridge were nice too! I thought the price was quite reasonable considering how nice the room was. Location is a short walk away from restaurants, and in a very nice area of Kensington. Management were always available.

The Food Fair and the Ballet WeekendPosted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Way room was decorated and furnished. Very comfortable, different and pleasant. Location is brilliant for accessing London.
Cons: Staffing levels and response times. Attitude is fine.
Location: Close to Natural History, the V&A, Albert Hall. Cromwell Road is a block away, a great artery into Knightsbridge and the West End.
My partner and I chose The Adria to stay in London for the weekend between Taste of London and the Ballet the following night. It's in striking distance of The Royal Albert Hall. You only enter the hotel by ringing the doorbell. It took a while to be answered and check in was done in one of the ground floor lounges. it was slow but bags were taken to the room meanwhile. The rooms are named, not numbered : we stayed in 'Parliament' which was a lovely, large corner room and completely sound proofed from the rest of the hotel. Pleasantly decorated, high ceilinged room. The bathroom was wonderful: great shower, good use of glass partitioning and underfloor heating too powerful, if anything. Bed was large and very, very comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the deep chaise longue. We also spent a few minutes in one of the downstairs salons after dinner one evening. Note the hotel does not have an alcohol licence, so be prepared. We could get over the lack of alcohol and the slow but pleasant response of the skeleton staff and we would definitely stay at the Adria again.

Fabulous stayPosted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: Beautiful room, luxurious bathroom and free minibar.
Cons: Nothing, although the lighting system takes a bit of getting used to.
Location: Close to Kensington Gardens and museums.
I can't praise this hotel too highly. From the welcome with tea in the beautifully appointed drawing room while being checked in, to the obliging staff and to the gorgeous room (Serpentine) everything was beyond expectations for a hotel in London (where expectations are often not that high). The fact that the cost was comparable to fairly average accommodation on offer in London at the same time was an extra bonus. The location was very convenient with two tube stops within walking distance and handy bus routes almost out the front door. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to plan a return trip.

Very comfortable, convenient, and quiet.Posted Jun 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
THE most comfortable bed and fine linens. Close to Underground station and easy trip to Heathrow. Central to all sights but without a lot of congestion. Good restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Staff was very accommodating and friendly.

Great Stay in "big" boutique hotelPosted May 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed for a one night romantic getaway at the end of May. We were a bit unsure what to expect as it is a dry hotel and not in the usual central london location. We weren't dissapointed though. From the moment we arrived at this beautiful boutique hotel the service was impeccable and friendly. We had a deluxe double room on the 4th floor which was a fantastic size with a great bathroom. It was also really quiet with great views of south kensington from the window. We took our own champagne and was told by the day Butler that although the hotel couldn't sell us alcohol they were more than happy for us to provide our own. We had a lovely meal at a spanish tapas restaurant on the Old Brompton Road, but could have eaten at the hotel if we had wanted. We had breakfast there though. Continental breakfast was £10 for a buffet or you could have a cooked breakfast to order. We both had the latter - two full cooked breakfasts which were also £10 each. Fantastic value for London and very tasty. We loved our stay and had an amazing time. Our experience was faultless. We will definitely return.

The hotel looks fantastic, there were problems with the technology in the room with lights going on and off in my room during the night. Also be aware the underground/subway vibrates through the hotel with regularity. There is generally a soulless feel to the hotel, which may just have been due to low occupancy, but staff were also lacking. Finally the staff lack the experience for this level of hotel. Overall I would not choose to return.

A luxurious treat!Posted Feb 26, 2014
Hotel is absolutely stunning, staff can't do enough for you and room standards are excellent - so clean and look fab. We stayed for one night and had breakfast in the morning, you can choose from the breakfast buffet or they have an a la carte menu, we ate from the menu and the food was delicious. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the tube station and then a 10 minute journey into central london so there is plenty to do. Would highly recommend to anyone after a luxury hotel experience in the middle of London. Will definitely visit again!

Customer Service way shortPosted Feb 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
Management decided to argue over a minor event. It was a matter of a simple restitution, but they decided to bicker. When a simple matter can't find an easy solution, I'm convinced customer service is not really in their heart. I would not recommend this hotel simply because of the customer service.

Lovely romantic getawayPosted Dec 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
My boyfriend and I had a very nice evening at this new London boutique hotel. Service was impeccable, rooms spacious and well appointed, common areas inviting and generous. Will return at earliest convenience.
