A very nice hotel that doesn't break the bank.Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Modern. Simple elegance with a bit of whimsy. Not fussy and a real value.
Cons: At this price...nothing. I'm just so glad to find a place like this in London.
Location: Unless you are in town on business you won't be doing much in the immediate neighborhood. Walk 12-15 minutes and you'll be in everything.
I spent 4 nights in London - one at the Charing Cross Hotel and three at the Apex Temple Court. I loved the location of the Charing Cross Hotel, but in every other aspect, the Apex was far superior - and it was $150 less per night. Modern clean rooms. Welcoming service oriented staff. Lovely building with a simple yet elegant decor. My room was modern, bright, clean, spacious (for London) and quiet - except when my neighbor would leave in the morning. The headboard is attached to the wall and when my neighbor closed his door it would shake the wall and shake the bed a bit. I got over it. The Apex is extremely well located for business travelers but on the weekend a lot of the shops/restaurants are closed. A 12 minute walk however gets you to Covent Garden, Soho, and all the theaters. I'll definitely be staying at the Apex again.

50th Birthday treat!Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: It was modern, clean and quiet. The hotel staff were great, very helpful, pleasant and helpful.
Cons: More coffe and milk in the room please.
Location: Great for visiting the theatre, close to Coventry garden. We walked to the National Gallery, which took us about 20 mins.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I was able to upgrade and we had a wonderful room with a balcony and view over the courtyard. The room was beautiful and it was spotlessly clean. The staff were all very courteous and friendly. We had access to the private lounge, where we could help ourself to wine, beer, coffee etc. Continental breakfast was free in there and scones and sandwiches were served in the afternoon. The upgrade was well worth it! I would definitely recommend the hotel.

It's a great locationPosted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: Location and good size room
Cons: Bathrooms as detailed above
Location: Close to Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square and can walk to many of the tourist sights or just a short bus or tube ride away.
Overall it is a good hotel in a great location. However, the bathroom was disappointing. No make up/shaving mirror which is a pretty standard piece of equipment. Also a very small towel rack for large towels. Doesn't work, so that is why the towels are changed every day which is not good for the environment. Breakfasts are pretty ordinary so we ate in once only.

Excellent hotel in quiet areaPosted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Quiet location but just a short stroll to nearest tube station and embankment. Top quality room and staff.
Location: Quiet but only 10 minutes walk to nearest tube stop. St Paul's cathedral nearby plus plenty of cafés and restaurants.
What a find! Top class hotel, spotlessly clean with comfy bed and ample space in the rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely return.
