Cheap and CheerfulPosted Feb 1, 2013
Pros: Very central
Cons: the very slow lift!
It you want cheap and cheerful then this is the place. It's no frills but clean, central, very pleasant and helpful staff. If you book, I would ask for a room at the back of the hotel because the road outside the front of the hotel is rather busy and noisy. It's a very clean hotel.

Central location, reasonable rate for basic roomPosted Sep 3, 2012
Needs a fan in the room and bathroom as can get muggy, even with windows open.

Was okPosted Jul 26, 2012
Pros: Close to St Pancras station.
Cons: Lack of air conditioning.
Small but comfortable room. When we stayed it was in the middle of summer. No room air conditioning made for a bad, hot nights sleep. Other than that, it was good.

Comfy BedPosted Dec 13, 2011
The room was nicely decorated, although very small. The bed was extremely comfortable and as we were only there to put our heads down before an early start the room was everything we needed it to be

Not overly impressedPosted Dec 12, 2011
While the Hotel was clean and tidy, there are much better options in London for that price. This Hotel is on a very busy through road and the traffic is constant. Water from the shower is terrible and the toilet sounded like it was about to explode. Overall would not stay at this Hotel again and would not recommend it.

Poor ValuePosted Nov 12, 2009
Noisy, hot, dirty, badly run. If a poor night sleep is your goal, this is the place for you. This hotel is located on a busy street that is the loop back to the Kings Cross station. There is traffic all night, including emergency vehicles and trucks. The front desk staff were indifferent and were fast asleep in the morning, a better sleep than we had. The microscopic sized room was dirty and in poor repair, the shower was a low volume dribble, all but useless. The bare light bulbs worked well. The hotel staff didn’t mention to any of hotel guests that there was a time change over night, so many of the guests were lined up waiting for the breakfast service an hour before it opened. We have traveled extensively over the past many years, staying in 9 different hotels / B&B’s on this trip alone, we have relied on these Expedia reviews to help us decide where to stay. This hotel is below standard, even for a budget hotel. There are many other hotels in this area that would be much better value.

Economical and reliablePosted Oct 2, 2009
I stay there regularly. The location is convenient, the rooms always clean, and the staff polite and helpful. The only problem is breakfast: don't count on it, especially on Saturday, unless you get up early, as the dining room is too small for the numbers using it.

A friendly welcome costs nothingPosted Aug 21, 2009 on Hotels.com
It is always nice to be made welcome, and so little effort. When we checked in, the entire transaction was done without the receptionist removing his phone (personal call) from his ear, and barely so much as eye contact. After that, the rest, which may have been ok, seemed pretty poor. The room was small, but just adequate. Not especially clean. The bathroom likewise. But hotels like this are plentiful, so if they want my custom, an effort is required.

Convenient to train stationsPosted Aug 16, 2009 on Hotels.com
The reception was pleasant, and allowed their guests to leave luggage in a separate room, which is a valuable service for those taking the train. It was convenient to the train stations Kings Cross and St. Pancras. The rooms were rather small and had no fan, but with the window open we were fine, not too hot. The room was clean as was the bathroom.

Clean, basic, good for the price.Posted Aug 5, 2009
For what one pays this place is fine. I stayed there three nights. The rooms are tiny,as is the en-suite shower/bathroom, but very clean. Breakfast is the usual cereal, toast, ham, cheese buffet and is included. Excellent location near noisy Kings Cross area, but on a not busy street on the safer, quieter side of that area. I suspect one couldn't do better for the price.
