"Excellent Hotel situated in the centre of London"
I booked a superior room at the Cavendish for three nights stay over the weekend of 19-22 September. The staff proved very welcoming and helpful at all times. They have been exceptionally well trained and this is particularly true of the restaurant staff. My room on the 7th floor was situated near the lifts but I was completely undisturbed by any noise. Bathroom is well designed although I found the side of the bath fairly high for getting in an out of. This might prove a serious difficulty for a disabled person. The express lunch and early pre theatre dinner is excellent value and beautifully presented. My only complaint is that the food might have been a bit hotter. Breakfast (at £22) I found was rather expensive although there was a very wide choice on offer including Eggs Benedict. I would have preferred to have been offered a continental breakfast at a lower rate - fruit juice, cereal and toast. Overall I rate this hotel very highly and would certainly use it again and recommend it.

What a fabulous place to stay in Trafalgar Square. Stayed for the last four nights of a month long holiday in England and Scotland. On arrival made to feel really welcome. Our studio apartment was perfect with plenty of room and kitchenette had everything you required if you wanted to be independent with meals.

We booked our stay at the last minute - wanted somewhere cheap and convenient for Covent Garden and the Travelodge was fully booked. So pleased we ended up with this instead! Similar price to the Travelodge but much higher standard - all smart, modern and comfortable and right next to Holborn tube station so very convenient spot. The room was a good sized double, good bathroom (with bath, not just shower) and there was a little kitchenette. Check in and check out were efficient and staff were friendly.

Citidenes on Gloucester Rd offers excellent service in a convenient location. Close to the London underground railway and close to good shops and cafés. I particularly appreciated the assistance from the staff, who were able to help with nearly all my requests.

The overall feel of the hotel was amazing. My wife and I like the older architecture of the outside and how homey it felt inside. It was in a fun part of town and only about a five minute walk to the nearest underground station, and about a fifteen minute walk to kings cross, which will get you anywhere in the city.
The only real complaint was the bed was a little hard, but it wasn't enough to really effect my overall experience.

I planned a trip to London with my husband and small dog. I found it extremely difficult to find a hotel which would accept dogs and was delighted when I found the Citadines Barbican. It was a truly wonderful experience for all of us.
