Great location, bad bathroom

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: Location, communal areas.
Cons: Bathrooms.
The hotel is in a great location, close to Victoria station, and there's a large supermarket about a fifteen minute walk away, if you find the small closer ones inadequate. The room was comfortable enough, but there was no lock on the bathroom, and the shower was a serious problem - when you turn it on, it's freezing cold for about five minutes, but if you put it onto the warm setting it turns scalding. Even when you turn the dial back down to cold, the scalding temperature doesn't change. I tried turning it off and on, leaving it for a while, everything but it wouldn't stop being scalding. There were no bath mats provided as well, so when I stepped back into my room I slipped due to my wet feet. I really had to wash the shampoo out of my hair, and I tried using the sink but it was too small, and I tried to put up with the hot water but it left painful red blotches on my skin, so in the end I just had to use a plastic bottle filled up from the sink tap and poured over my head. This is not what I expect from a city hotel. I really wanted to like the hotel, as parts of it look lovely, and the cleaners clearly do a fantastic job, but such a poor bathroom facility is really unacceptable.

Functional rather than fancy

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: Price, cleanliness
Cons: I'm not sure if I'd want to improve the loo, it was hilarious.
Location: Close to the coach station, railway and underground and there's a nice pub round the corner
I was meeting my daughter in London and only needed somewhere to sleep that was reasonably priced and not miles from the centre. This was only 5-10 minutes walk from Victoria coach station and the underground, so we could move about with relative ease. The hotel itself isn't overly appointed but was clean. Then there was the hilarious toilet/shower combo. It was so small you couldn't use the sink with the door closed. You were obliged to sit (if you know what I mean) because the sink was immediately adjacent to the loo. This meant the loo seat had twisted as people had struggled to get on and off. Great fun. I'm glad I don't drink. Other than that the price was acceptable and it did its job. I'd stay again.

Different Hotel

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Arrived the hotel in the rain and told we had to stay in another hotel. So we had to go out and walk in the rain again. If we wanted the hotel we stayed we had booked that hotel. We wanted to stay Belgravia Rooms, that's why we booked the hotel. So disappointed.

Great little hotel in excellent location!

Posted Jan 31, 2015
Pros: Location. Convenience to Victoria Coach and Train stations. Comfy beds. Ensuite bathroom option for our room. Lots of coffee and tea supplied for all.
Cons: Drains in showers need to be cleared of hair frequently. More toilet paper should be supplied in the bathroom. Extra blankets should be free of hairs.
Location: Everything is accessible! Victoria train/tube station and coach station nearby. City buses galore. Plenty of taxis readily avail. Shops, restaurants.
We were three people staying in an ensuite triple room. The decor appeared to have been recently upgraded/renovated, so it was really quite nice. Beds were super comfy and it was excellent to have a heater since the weather made for a couple of chilly days. Being so centrally located (only just over 2 blocks from either the Victoria coach or the Victoria train station) made this an absolutely IDEAL location for our short stay in London. We had a person in our party with mobility issues and he had no trouble whatsoever getting to and from the hotel. We were also lucky to have a ground floor room which we had requested for this reason since there are no lifts in the facility. As London hotels go, this one was an excellent choice for us! We were more than pleasantly surprised with the room and certainly very pleased with its location. Every kind of shop, service, or mode of transportation we would need was within a very easy walking distance. We would certainly choose to stay here again should our travels take us back to London.

Mittelmässig

Posted Jan 15, 2015 on Hotels.com
