For the price it works.

I was happy to get a hotel in London for around $100 a night. I knew it would be no Hilton but it was perfectly fine for our stay. We were in the basement room 2. It was roomy although the full size bed was kind of small for us. Pillows were less than desirable. Just fold it over. Bedspreads need updating. More importantly though there was a nice flat screen tv with a good selection of channels (we haven't watched live TV in English in almost 2 years so we really enjoyed this). The bathroom was small but not cramped and newly redone. No soaps except small handsoap. Shower was good. Wifi worked really well and was easy to connect to. Breakfast was quick and satisfying. Yummy English breakfast. Option of cereal. The hotel was less than five minutes from the paddington tube station which was on a convenient tube line. Bus stop right outside. Nice pub on the corner. Restaurants and cafes around to eat at.

Belvedere

The customers services and staff are terrible, very rude and misarable as if they are doing one a favour! Location is good, but I will avoid just because of the misarable customers service

Conveniently located hotel.

Posted Jan 15, 2015
Pros: Location, clean.
Cons: No £5 charge to leave your luggage past 2pm!
Location: Close to paddington train station - a few local shops, pubs cafes to eat
Decent small hotel located close to Paddington Station. Keys to be left at reception when leaving the hotel for whatever reason. £5 charge to leave your luggage after 2pm. Stayed in the basement of the hotel - small yet very clean and warm room. Although a little noisy from underground trains passing. Overall would come back for convenience only.

My room is small and there is no lift but they have dryers for hair and handy TVs. Receptionist is quite friendly and thoughtful.

Do not stay at this hotel

Posted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: Leaving it
Cons: Absolutely everything but mostly the beds and breakfast, oh and the staff
This was the best looking medium priced hotel we could find on the Internet for us five, (3 kids) but for the price I had to pay this place was terrible. The room was pokey, the staff rude and uninterested, my daughter woke up with red welts all over her body from suspected bed bugs, the breakfast was small, horrible and the waitresses were the most miserable people with severe attitude you have ever met. The shower was tiny and the whole experience was horrific and I hope no one else ever has to go through it as we did, the only thing that saved it for us was the bottle of vodka we smuggled in.

Simple and affordable

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable bed, hot water worked fine. Nice breakfast.
Cons: More soundproofing
Location: I was there for a conference, so didn't see any sights. The nearby rail station had quite a lot of food options, which was handy.
Stayed for 2 nights in a single room. Ate the 'English Breakfast' both mornings. The room was clean and warm (stayed in December). I was surprised(disappointed) that they didn't provide any shampoo/body wash. The room I stayed at was on the 4th floor, which meant going up narrow, uneven stairs with my luggage (luckily I was on a short trip so only had a small bag to carry up). The toilet and shower all worked as expected. I would recommend people bring earplugs if they have trouble sleeping with noise, as I could hear the trains quite loudly and the thin walls meant I could hear the couple next door's conversations. The staff were friendly enough. The breakfast tasted nice, portion sizes were good enough. Overall, it's fine - obviously not going to get 5-star modern for these prices in London.

One of the many hotels close to Paddington Station

I was looking for an inexpensive hotel, but for 100 Brit Pounds per night (about $150 USD) this was just to shabby. The extra tiny bathroom had an overpowering mildew odor. I did not know they beds could even get so lumpy or that you could buy pillows so cheap. The little bar if soap, about the size of a one Pound coin (the only bathroom amenity) seemed generous after seeing everything else. This property demonstrates the gap between inexpensive and "desperately cheap". Nearby hotels were nicer for lower a cost. I felt ripped off !!!

Verblijf in Hotel Belvedere Londen

Posted Nov 25, 2014
Pros: De goede ligging

Perfect position near St Marys / Paddington

For the price, it is perfect. Great staff, comfortable rooms, adequate breakfast. Perfect location. It is not the Hilton, but you aren't paying 300 Pounds a night.

Convenient location, clean

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Location, convenience and cleanliness. Good wifi.
Cons: Duvets/blankets/pillows need replacing. Some area rugs on the tiled floor to limit noise of people walking by would be nice as that kept waking me up.
Location: The location is excellent - lots of restaurants and things to do nearby.
My hotel room was very clean. The location was excellent, right next to Paddington station and the heathrow express, which is great for a business traveller. They could use some new duvets/pillows/blankets, but otherwise everything was as expected or better. The breakfast is pretty decent as well. The only real con of this place is that the main floor (where my room was) did not have any carpeting so the noise of footsteps was a bit magnified and I could hear the train underneath me, but all in all it was a good stay for my needs. It's good for people who just need a place to sleep but are otherwise gone all day.
