“Great spot in Chiswick”

Perfect experience. Needed a room for only one night and was allowed to check in early. The single room was simple but with everything I needed. Great location on Chiswick High Road--full of lovely shops, restaurants and pubs. Easy access to Heathrow via Turnham Green tube station. Would recommend to anyone working at National Archives, interested in the Palladian villa or Fullers Brewery, Kew Gardens, etc.

“Out of downtown, but close to everything”

We took the underground from Heathrow to our hotel - it was about a 2 block walk. The entire area seemed safe, was packed with shopping and restaurant choices. The hotel room was small, but comfortable. The staff were really friendly. We would definitely use this hotel again. Its about a 20 minute subway ride into central London, but that just gives you time for people watching and to plan your days activities. The hotel offered free parking, but with the underground so close, there is really no need to have one.

“Not a typical network hotel”

This is hotel for people who dislike monster hotels with 300+ containerlike rooms. It is located in several neighbouring townhouses, reception in one, rooms in another. For me an advantage, for someone else can be a disadvantage. Staff was friendly, breakfast was okay (or good perhaps, if you happen to like English breakfasts).

“Convenient Location w/ a free Car Park”

Like many of the more "affordable" hotels where I've stayed in Britain, this one started its life as something else (in this case, a series of row houses), and was converted into a hotel. The result is a mix-match of confusing hallways and out-of sequence room numbers that can make navigating to your specific accomodation a bit frustrating (especially when there's no lift and you're slugging your suitcase behind you). That said, my single room was away from the street and quiet, clean, and lacked for nothing other than a little extra space. It was conveniently located off Chiswick High Street and just a few blocks from the Turnham Green tube station (a quick 20 minute ride to Picadilly Circus in downtown London). The free car park is a novelty in many hotels this close to the city, and while it is a bit of a squeeze to enter, was definitely a selling point for me. I got exactly what I paid for. A recommendation - had the BEST meal at The Roebuck just down the street. Try the Sticky English Toffee Pudding for dessert...HEAVEN on a dish.

“Good night's sleep”

The hotel is well located within easy reach of West London, parking and good local reataurants and as with my first stay, I had a good quiet night's sleep. Staff were polite and helpful.

“Comfy, Friendly, Easy to find... And a leaky cistern.”

It's a lovely, large and easy to find hotel right on the main-street running through Chiswick. Check in was excellent and very fast and we were shown to our room which was very nicely furnished. Obviously a bed, but also table & chairs and a large wardrobe. The en-suite bathroom was clean and well stocked with hand gels, shower caps, even a mini sewing kit. The TV worked without problem - standard Freeview channels with more than enough choice, and there were facilities in the room to make tea & coffee (as well as 24 hour complimentary tea/coffee at reception). The ONLY problem with the room (which I didn't spot until the next morning) was a leak in the pipe leading to the toilet cistern, which had created a large pool on the bathroom floor by morning. I did mention this though, as we checked out and the receptionist noted this on the days "job-list". All-in-all, excellent value in a great location for business or leisure in Chiswick. I'd recommend it to anyone!

“Not impressed”

The hotel is in need of renovation, being rather old-fashioned. Our room, on the front of the hotel, was extremely noisy all night from the traffic. The window had to be open as it was hot and there is no air conditioning. There was no fridge or minibar in the room. Parking space is limited and hard to access. We thought the cost of the hotel was high considering its condition and facilities.
