Tired Hotel in need of a refurbishmentPosted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: nothing much really
Cons: Reception staff were not welcoming, efficient but not a warm welcome
Location: This is a north london high street and there is little to recommend it except its accessibility to the west end of London
A disappointing experience, definitely not a four star standard. The restaurant was not open and no helpful suggestions from the hotel staff.... I wanted to eat in, and had chosen a hotel that would have the facilities I needed. Would not use again. The only positive is that it is on some useful bus routes.

Comfortable hotel close to public transport linksPosted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: Price, decor, location for transport links. Tesco's and Starbucks open late across the road which came in handy.
Location: Easy access to all public transport links. Lots of shops on Kilburn High Road. Leafy walk through Maida Vale towards Central London.
We stayed for 4 nights in this comfortable, clean hotel. Decor fresh with contemporary feel. Based ourselves here because of a friend's party at the Good Ship on Kilburn High Road on the Saturday night but also wanted easy access for investigating London. Great base for public transport links. Hotel staff pleasant and helpful. Room nice and clean; new towels and bathroom cleaned daily.

Last minute disappointmentPosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: The room was clean and tidy
Cons: A room with a widow that isn't blocked off and the facilities topped up
Location: Wembley arena close by, tube station nearby
We booked a room at this hotel well in advance only to be told 2pm on the check in day that they had no room available. Obviously this was not acceptable as We had no where to stay. We was offered an alternative hotel 30 minutes away which was no good as we had parked for 2 days and had to attend a local event (walking distance from hotel). The receptionist insisted I couldn't have a room , making up lots of excuses for the problem. I asked to speak to the manager but he/she would only speak via the receptionist. After a long debate i was told I could have a room which settled everything. When we arrived the receptionist was friendly and the room was very clean however the room we were given had an empty mini bar and no windows giving the feeling of a prison cell! This is not what I expected for a £150 for the night, We had a great time in London but the hotel experience was defiantly the low point of the trip.

Nice hotel, close to transport linksPosted Jul 5, 2014
Excellent condition and staff were friendly. Hotel was always clean and rooms made to same standard each day. One downside was the wifi, which was not strong enough to keep a stable connection in our room but other than that it was great

Hotel is clean , staff friendly and very helpful.Posted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: It was clean and the bathroom was very good, the bed and Pillows were very hard and bad it was a real let down and the size of room a little small
Cons: Replace the Beds and The Pillows.
Location: The area is OK close to subway, but there is no good restaurants , or shops in the area.
Size of room very small , Bed and Pillows very Hard . Everything else was good and clean. Not much in area around Hotel, you have to travel to get a good meal.

Good locationPosted Apr 21, 2014
Nice room, disappointing that the windows don't open at all and the air con wasn't the best. All in all pretty comfortable and in a good spot for transport into central london.

Convenient Location in LondonPosted Apr 9, 2014
Cons: More comfortable mattresses. Better instructions during check-in. Better breakfast.
Location: There is not much in the neighborhood where the hotel is so just head into town on the tube.
We enjoyed our stay overall, especially because the hotel was close to a tube station. Here are some observations: 1. The room was small even with only one double bed. 2. The clerk at check in time was nice but failed to describe how the air conditioner worked. Thus the first night was stuffy and hot. It turns out that the key card fits into a slot that allows the air conditioner controls to operate. 3. The breakfast was mediocre. 4. Housekeeping never replaced our washcloths after collecting them the first time. 5. The "orthopaedic" mattress was quite uncomfortable. I may have to see a chiropractor now. Overall, the hotel descriptions portray the hotel to be much more than it really is. It is a slightly above average hotel in a convenient location.

Okay.. but would not stay again.Posted Mar 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
The elevator and basement floor hallway smells like a toilet. The rooms are super tiny and so are the "double" beds. We were awoken by 3 fire alarms one morning and were not told that they were false alarms and also were not given an apology. There was NO hot water the same morning as the fire alarms and we were again given no apology or compensation for the inconvenience. They did nothing to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was small and very limited. Though you could always pay an additional fee to have the "full" breakfast. Also they only give you one room key which must be in a slot in the wall in your room while inside so your lights and even the AC will stay on. This is very frustrating when you come back from travelling all day and have to return to a hot, humid, and moldy smelling room. Other than that, they need to update their taxi price list. We took a vehicle from there to Gatwick airport and the receptionist set up the car and saw all of our baggage and we were quoted £90 so I specifically went to the ATM across the street and got out £100. When we were riding in the taxi, the driver tried to tell us it would be £125. We ended up only giving him £100 and to get with the hotel to spot him the rest since that's all we had and that's what we were quoted. The location was ok since it's within walking distance to an underground and also an overground station. Overall, I would not stay here again. It looked nice online, but pictures can be deceiving. Do your research and remember that you really do get what you pay for.
