“Wish I Had Come Here First”

After spending two nights in another local hotel i was forced to move because of availability and came across The Phoenix:Even though it was booked the day before the rates were good and the standards very very high for a hotel in this range.Will definetely use again.

“Tucked away hotel near the tube”

To my delight, the hotel is a set of row houses turned into a quaint boutique hotel complete with its own bar and sitting room with a fireplace. I felt as though I was a guest of a nobleman. I knew the Best Western Logo would not let me down.

“Best deal in London”

Very clean, comfortable. An excellent value. All this from a person who has mostly always stayed in Mayfair at the best hotels. Near Paddington Station - ten minutes walk - or one stop on the Circle Line (Bayswater), if you have luggage.

“Great Bargain Hotel”

2 blocks from the Bayswater subway, 1 block from a variety of restaurants, 1 block from an indoor mall. Triple room had a separate loft area for the third bed with separate TV. Comfortable, spacious, quiet rooms for the price range. Quality breakfast with cold meats, cereals, pastries, etc. Internet access is available in lobby for a small fee. Able to check in at 11am to stash our bags as our flight arrived early in the morning.

Like all London hotels in this price range,it's another closet.At least it's clean and has hot water and a decent location.In its price range it's aces.

Great little hotel, near everything. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Non smoking rooms available.

“Great location!!”

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times. The rooms are extremely small but of course that is normal in London. Howeve,r the neighborhood is excellent, and gives you everything you need (especially, great restaurants, bars, shopping) . I can fully recomment this hotel, if you are looking for something practical, great location, and comfortable room to sleep at night. ( I would not recommend if you are looking something fancy or romantic...:)) overall, I would again and again stay at this hotel, if i have changes to go to London on private/semi-private trips (shopping, training, going to theaters, etc).

“My favourite hotel for business trips”

I stayed one night here on business and it has since become my first choice for business trips - very convenient for an evening arrival at Paddington, clean but not devoid of character, well located for a number of good but not extravagant bistros and restaurants in which it feels comfortable to eat alone. The rooms are pretty small, but I haven't stayed anywhere in central London where this is not the case without paying substantially more. Overall, this represents excellent value.

“Good location”

The location of the Hotel is excellent. Being 5 minutes walk from Bayswater Station, or a couple more minutes and you are at Queensway.The room was of a reasonable size, and overall was good value for money. Would stay again if in London
