駅から徒歩10分

Posted Jan 9, 2015

Business trip

Posted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: Clean, well furnished rooms, good staff
Cons: If you say you're going to deliver something (as above) then you must deliver it
Not quite as advertised, no dressing gown, no slippers and an empty mini bar but still a very nice hotel, the problem with websites is when you advertise something and then don't deliver it is always disappointing even if its only little things however I would definatly stay here again.

Overall OK hotel experience in London

Posted Dec 26, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness. Location to the Tube was okay, about an 8-minute walk. Overall experience was good.
Cons: Customer service. Make each customer feel as though they are the only one. Staff should go out of their way to help with any questions or issues.
Location: Location was on the west part of London about a 15 minute ride from Heathrow. Would have been nice to have closer to an underground terminal.
We arrived here via taxi from Heathrow. We were greeted by the desk staff, and they were kind enough to help with early checkin. I then asked a couple of general questions about getting around, and although the answer was sufficient, it was more matter of fact and not real personal. I would have to think that a number of folks who arrive here may have not even been to London before (as was our case), and that the staff would treat us as such and really help out with a smile. We arrived in our room, which while very clean, it was cramped. We asked for two beds, and I suppose that's what we got, but the beds were right next to one another. Again, though, the room was very clean, and that was nice. We stayed for two nights, and on the second night, we ordered room service, which got the order wrong. I asked for a correction on the order, and the food staff was accommodating to change it without any problems. I have to admit, I likely had a misconception about our experience in a London hotel prior to our arrival. I assumed everyone would be British (we are in London), but the majority of the folks running the hotel were Indian. My daughter had recently visited India on a missions trip, so it felt familiar to her. But we were visiting England, not India, so it was a bit odd. Don't get me wrong, we got our full taste of the British culture while there in London...just not from the hotel experience.

Comfy, slightly out of the way retreat

Posted Dec 20, 2014
Pros: Room's decor and comfort was excellent for this price range...however slightly smaller than comparable US hotels
Cons: The bartender had very little idea how to make drinks off the menu...and his service was quite slow.
Location: The hotel is in a neighborhood mainly populated by Indian / Pakistani restaurants and not close to a proper chippy...20 quid taxi to airport each way
Very well-appointed room for the price...somewhat convenient to LHR airport and overall nice experience.

One night stand

Posted Dec 17, 2014
Pros: Staff friendliness
Cons: No idwa
Location: On the web site you could put directions on how to get into the car park as it is at a busy intersection
Stayed one night before flying out from Heathrow. Excellant service, right down to being able to print out boarding passes. Lovely room, all amenities for making coffee/tea. Large tv so you see it lying in bed. Room was spotless as was the shower. Restaurant was great with ample choices.

Mediocre staff with a mediocre distance from LHR

Posted Dec 14, 2014
A pleasant stay at the airport for an overnights sleep before a flight. A nightmare getting from St Pancras kings cross tube station as a mode of transportation due to having a 15 minute long walk from Osterly tube station or an expensive bus ride of over £1.60 for two stops. A pleasant check-in at around 8PM with no Que. The dissipointment was that they failed to add my reservation what I was offered and opted for it. Plus the staff didn't show me to my room minimum effort not a problem for them but warrying. There where two people at the check-in just standing there waiting for their shift to end. When I had 3 bags on me with more than five steps even to the lift. Then you need to get the bus back to Ostley or a 15 minute walk the choice is yours then a tube to Heathrow terminals 1,2,3&5. No problem bring a car by the looks of things there is prently of parking space which may incur an extra charge. I think they where just trying to hire the cheapest staff possible without considering customer service will go bust after the financial crisis.

Nice hotel, terrible breakfast

Posted Nov 25, 2014
Pros: Staff were very helpful and friendly, room was excellent
Cons: Breakfast!
Location: Hounslow is pretty awful but we were just passing through to get to Twickenham and if your going, be sure to get an oyster card for the buses!
The hotel was lovely and clean, we came down on a Saturday for the Rugby at Twickenham (two blokes) so a twin room was ordered. Very reasonable price for the good standard of room, shower was brilliant and the room looked brand new, overall excellent facilities and easy to locate, only problem really was breakfast in the morning. We went down early Sunday morning as we we had a long drive ahead of us, so we were there at 7:30, everything on the hot breakfast buffet was cold, stone cold, beans and all. Little touches like this take the shine off an otherwise excellent hotel. Small details matter, and cold food, at 7:30am is a detail one tends to remember.

An affordable luxury

Posted Nov 5, 2014
Pros: comfort, staff, location, price, cleanliness, in room refrigerator and safe, luxurious appointments.
Cons: A shuttle service to heathrow or at least the Hounslow Underground station would help less transit minded guests. We were fine, but we are young.
Location: Visit The Black Horse pub for dinner. Everything in london is just a tube ride away. Water and Steam museum and Kew Gardens were highlights.
We needed a place to stay for 3 days unsupported (no local friends or family) in london and on a tight budget. We struck gold with this Best Western. A plenty big room (by London standards), lots of power outlets for charging our various stuff, a great shower, friendly staff, and easy access to a tube station and bus stop. Its about a 10 min walk to Hounslow East and a short tube ride into central London for anything you want to do there. Its an even shorter ride to Heathrow when its time to leave. There is a great little pub called The Black Horse across the street, all indian food, but its amazing, try the butter chicken its the best we have had anywhere. If you are staying for a while there is a laundromat on the way to the station, left side of the east side of the street just near the mini roundabout. its cash only but really fast machines and plenty friendly. We didn't eat in the hotel so I cant tell you anything about that but the bar seemed nice enough for a quick drink. In short, a gem for travelers looking for a nice stay without going broke. We travel a lot and will be returning next time we are in London.
