Like a small bed, small room & no storage?Posted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: Location & food
Cons: Hot water "on tap"
Location: Underground station. Portobello Rd. Notting Hill, Royal Albert Hall.
The location is great & the breakfast offering is very good. However, anyone considering booking the hotel needs to be aware of its limitations......very small "double" bed situated in a very small room which has poor sound-proofed walls. The bathroom is quality but on two occasions circa 5-00pm, on different days no hot water so could not freshen up.

Does the jobPosted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: - cleanliness - wifi - hot water - helpful staff - good location - two members of staff sneaking off into a room for a loud romp (lol)
Cons: The price.
Location: Nicely located on kensington high street close to tube and bus services.
Needed room for 2 nights urgently and the hotel delivered. Nicely located on kensington high street, very clean, good wifi and friendly staff. I took a single room which was literally a shoe box, but I guess this is London? Adequately priced but could be less considering the size of the rooms.

Good continental breakfastPosted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: The best part of this hotel was the efficient way in which the continental breakfast was served and the quality of the breakfast food.
Cons: The worst wifi service ever. The man on reception was unsympathetic and curt and unable to help.
Location: Great location for transport and Holland Park for a morning walk.
We stayed 3 nights and our first room was very small and noisy at the front, so we moved to a much larger room at the rear which was quieter. We wished that we had moved earlier in our stay.

A bit claustrophobic!Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Good location. Very clean and good quality furnishings and bathroom fittings.
Cons: Definitely the breakfast. Reduce the room rates and forget breakfast, spoilt for choice along Kensington High Street.
Location: 5 mins from nearest tube. 10 mins from Hyde Park. Good for shopping and museums
Although I was expecting everything to be a little compact, I was still very surprised. Apparently the difference between the deluxe double and standard is that an extra bed can be placed in the deluxe.....I haven't a clue where, my daughter and myself didn't have room to walk around each other. Breakfast was poor, even for continental and you sit uncomfortably close to the people next to you. I paid using debit card and received confirmation from Expedia that there was zero balance due. However, the manager still tried to get me to pay again until I got confirmation from my bank that the 'pre authorisation' was in fact due to leave my account. Watch out.

Nice hotel but tiny rooms!!!Posted Jul 23, 2014
Overall the hotel was really good with an excellent continental breakfast. Rooms were very clean and well kept...but very small. Could barely walk around the bed. Other than that it's in a pretty good safe location right near the tube station and the staff was helpful.

Good hotelPosted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Comfortable hotel in a lovely location with plenty of quality shops and nice restaurants. The staff are very friendly and obliging. The rooms were sma
Cons: I think they have to sign post the hotel a bit better as it could be easily missed.
Location: The hotel is near the underground in a good area with plenty of good quality shops and restaurants.
There are two small entrances to the hotel and the one that we entered had a flight of stairs facing us. Not great when you have to carry the cases up the stairs. However, it was not a problem as a member of staff immediately appeared and carried our cases for us without any hassle. We had a very pleasant and comfortable 3 night stay.

Basic hotel, however on Kensington high street!Posted Jul 12, 2014
Hotel was basic, however did get it on trivago website so did not pay full price. The room that was assigned was equipped for a disabled person, so bathroom was more spacious than the bedroom. Facilities were poor, no plug in sink and hot water was scolding so unable to use it to wash hands without getting scolded never mind to wash my face and also sink was tiny. Shower leaked, so had to use all the towels to mop the floor, luckily only stayed the one night. Also no toilet brush, really! Breakfast was self service for everything and not the best quality or choice.

Beautiful, clean and comfortable hotel, in easy to access location. Very close to Kensington Palace and park. Recommend The Abington for dinner close by.
