Staff very unfriendly

Staff should be made undergo a course in punlic relations. Those of eastern european origin should be advised they are working in a hotel not a concentration camp. A smile when dealing with a guest would be very helpful.

Good reliable Wi-fi

Posted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Hallways are a little overused. Carpet needs replacement. So with room carpetings.
Good location. Room small. Bus stop in front. Tube underground transportation across the street. Big grocery store across the street. Lots of eateries around the hotel. Perfect for vacationers who are out all day due to accessibility. Bathroom clean.

Uncomfortable stay - could have been much better

Posted Nov 9, 2014
Pros: The great location
Cons: Plumbing noise! Faint smell of cabbage everywhere.
Location: Location is great. There are plenty of restaurants and cafe's nearby in all price ranges. Very close to the tube and msueums.
The hotel has an excellent location and our initial reaction to our room was of pleasant surprise. It was small, but extremely well furnished with a beautiful bathroom. So far so good. Unfortunately there was one major flaw which ruined the stay for my wife and myself - the noise of the plumbing! Every shower or toilet flush above us sent a cacophony of trickling and gurgling sounds into the room via the air conditioning duct. The noise was so bad it woke my wife a number of times in the night, meaning she did not have a restful nights sleep during our stay. There were a couple of other disappointments. There was no shampoo in the bathroom and despite two requests in the evening, a third call to reception was needed the following morning. The shower plug hole was also blocked (with someone else's hair!) a fairly unpleasant task to have to do oneself. On a positive note the room rate was competitive with other hotels in the same range and the reception staff were extremely helpful with baggage storage etc Unfortunately the plumbing noises completely detracted from the positives.

Location: Excellent location.
Overpriced, like most places in UK. Staff quite friendly and willing to help.

Standard chain hotel not far from the tube.

Overall for the price it was ok but a few things let it down. The lift only goes to the 4th floor and there was no toothpaste in the bathroom. Also the room was quite small. OK for me travelling alone but would be cramped for two people.

Convenient but rooms too small

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: It was clean and close to public transport.
Cons: Let customers know that the rooms are particularly small.
We felt the location allowed us to catch a train easily to wherever we wanted to go. Our biggest frustration was the room size. Two suit cases cannot be payed out without using the bed. There were no places to sit apart from the bed. This meant we needed to pack them away, lift one up to above the wardrobe, and the sit on the bed to relax. It's a great place to stay if you do not need to wind down in your room. It's just big enough to sleep in.
