Central location near tube and museumsPosted Mar 1, 2014
The Cromwell is clean and conveniently located just opposite the Gloucester Road tube station, served by Piccadilly, Circle and District lines. The rooms are small but pleasant.

Good value in central LondonPosted Jan 21, 2014
Pros: Location, size and price
Cons: Heating system
Location: Museums and galleries near by and close to Earls Court exhibition centre. Safe area at night.
The reviews I had read complained of small rooms. I was pleasantly surprised, therefore to find that our standard room was of a very decent size for a medium budget London hotel. It is in a nice safe area and only 300 metres to Gloucester road tube for easy access to all areas. It is in an old building, which gives it an advantage of character over the tall modern blocks. The staff were very helpful and the room was clean. The only problem was that the heating in the room only worked when the key card was left in the power dock. The room was freezing 8 degrees when we arrived but once we worked out how to leave it on it was fine but quite noisy as it works on a fan system. Overall very good value for money as a London base.

Great place to stay for single travelers or couplePosted Dec 10, 2013
Pros: Location, room was superior for price and compared to other hotels
This hotel is in a great location. A few shorts yards from Gloucester Road stop on the Piccadilly line for the tube. There is a pharmacy and a grocery store across the street. And it is just far enough out of the crazy part of London to be a place to relax after a hard day of trudging through London. It is also a short walk from the Albert & Victoria Museum. The room I stayed in was small, but functioned well for me as a single traveler. Had a double bed which is very rare for single traveler rooms. Bathroom was good size and everything functioned great. Staff were courteous and helpful. Everyday there was a breakfast available, full or contential, which was nice. However, there is a Starbucks and a Paul (fabulous pastry place) across from tube station which great to get some quick breakfast stuff. All in all this is a excellent option and I will stay there again.

Not worth 4 starsPosted Dec 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
Couldn't help feel that the price they charged was a bit too steep for what is actually provided, and I would question the 4-star rating. I have stayed in the hotel next door to this one previously which was much better, and didn't cost that much more. The hotel is ok, clean and well maintained, and the staff are friendly. I had a single room which even for 1 person was small, there was little room to move about. WiFi is free but didn't work for the first 2 nights of my stay. Ideally located opposite Gloucester Rd tube station and there are countless restaurants, cafes and shops in the area.

NIce hotel in the heart of London, near TubePosted Nov 26, 2013
Pros: It was quiet and clean. The shower was very room and good flow on the water. Bed was a little firm for my tastes though.
Cons: Room size was small but what can you really do in central London.
Location: great starting off point for all of the tourist stops.
This hotel was great, close to the tube station. We had a leak in our bathroom sink faucet and the staff was very quick to respond and even offered to move our room for the last night of our stay but it wasn't really necessary. Overall, I would definitely stay there again.

Everything was great except the internet.Posted Nov 26, 2013
Pros: Location, location, location!
Cons: Internet connection and speed.
Location: The V & A museum, Museum of Natural History, Kinsington Palace.
I have to say that this hotel is a great one if you are staying in London. The location is perfect. You are a block away from amazing museums and the Glouster tube station. The rooms are good size, clean and up to date. My only issue was that the internet was horrible. I could check my e-mail at times but that was all. I talked to the hotel staff and they suggested that I sit in the lobby where the connection was better. They were helpful but for me it was a problem.

Small rooms, good locationPosted Nov 20, 2013
Rooms are very small, even doubles, but fairly clean. Although with the dark carpet, it's hard to tell. Staff barely speaks English and could use a crash course on friendliness and customer management. Location is great: shops, restaurants, 2 min from the Gloucester Road tube station, museums and Hyde Park close by.
