Great location - maintenance required!

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: Good location.
Cons: Pay attention to details.
Location: V. close to Borough Tube. Lots to do.
This is a lovely apartment in a great location. Some criticisms though: 1. Main bedroom window had a sign saying DO NOT OPEN. 2 days into our 4 day stay we came back and found the sign had gone. Only the tape that had held it there remained. 2. ON arrival we found wet carpet in the bedroom doorways and de-humidifiers trundling away noisily nearby. Were we in any less of a hurry at the time I would have phoned to be moved to a different apartment. Not really acceptable. 3. The bathroom doors wouldn't close. Otherwise the apartment was clean and comfortable.

Large apartment but location isn't as advertised

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: Big.
Cons: Location details up front, not classifying it as luxury or updating the decor.
Location: 10 mins walk to Tower Bridge & nearest tube. Not much else nearby.
Booked this apartment for a stay with family. In all the booking & confirmation it was never stated that the location of the apartment was anywhere other than Union Street. After flying in to London with 2 kids, 2 hand luggage cases & 4 large cases & then getting to Union Street by train & tube, the receptionist gave us the key & told us that in fact our apartment was a 10 minute walk away - and nowhere near a tube station. If we had been told about this beforehand we could have planned for it, but dragging the jet lagged, freezing kids & cases through London's less than ped friendly streets wasn't great. This put a big dampener on the start of our stay, not least because it was London in March so it was raining! The apartment itself was a decent size for London but in no way could it be classed as 'luxury.' It was clean & tidy enough, but getting dated & tatty round the edges, & it was just an apartment in a private residential block so the lobby/shared areas were basic & untidy. There were no staff on-site for if there were any problems/questions. Also, the wifi didn't work, which isn't a major thing but very annoying particularly when travelling with a teenager!

Excellent apartment in a residential area

Posted Mar 15, 2015
Pros: Plenty of room
Cons: The pillows were hard and uncomfortable.
Location: Easy walk to major areas like Southwark Bridge, Borough Market, and London Bridge. Close to Elephant and Castle Tube stop.
This is an excellent apartment is a residential area near major roads. It was clean and modern with fully equipped kitchen. It was conveniently located above a grocery store. The only two downsides were that you do not know the exact location until you arrive and the local emergency services sometimes made for a load neighborhood. They also are heavily guarded against loud parties.

Tricky to start - nice to stay

Posted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: Getting an apartment for not much more than a hotel.
Cons: The couch and beds are starting to show their age.
Location: The apartment we were in was at the end of Lower Marsh St. which is a fun neighborhood shopping street. Had a neighborhood feel, but close to city.
We stayed three nights in a Bridge Apartment on our way through London. It was simple, nice, and a bit like staying in a less then new Ikea showroom. The apartment had everything one could want, and it was nice to have the space for the family. The only kicker is you don't know where the apartment is until you check in at the Union St. address. Our apartment was a mile away (thankfully the taxi hung around). It ended up being a great location (close to Waterloo Station), but it made pre-planning our visit hard. Overall the stay was hassle free, and everything we wanted as a family of 5 on a three week international trip.

Convenient aparment close to Tower Bridge

Posted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: Convenient to Tower Bridge and London Bridge underground Even though this apartment is very close to the railway line we hardly heard the trains.
Cons: The plug in the kitchen has lost its rubber so it was difficult to do the dishes but then my clever husband sealed it with a plastic wrapper.
Location: Went to the Tower Bridge exhibition and then walked to the design centre and hired a Boris bike to take us over the bridge to the underground.
Spent two days in this lovely apartment. M&S food to go just across the road so we were able to cook a nice meal for the family.

Flott, romslig leilighet

Posted Feb 27, 2015

Posted Feb 1, 2015

Veldig fornøyd

Posted Jan 21, 2015 on Hotels.com
