Worst hotel ever

Posted Jul 4, 2015
The shoddiness of the place was matched only by the disreputable business practice of the check in staff. They were obviously trained to pass off an unrentable barren windowless room on a floor still laden with construction debris as an upgrade. Had I not prepaid I would have declined to stay at this disgusting place.

Close to o2 arena, that's about it.

Posted Jul 3, 2015
Pros: Their bar stayed open late, allowing us to enjoy cocktails after the concert.
Cons: It should have been communicated either during the booking process or upon check-in that the room would NOT have any windows.
Location: o2 arena was one Underground stop away, which was convenient.
We were looking for a cheap place to stay nearby the o2 arena for a concert, and this is about all this hotel did to support our intentions. #1 problem = room 2 with no windows. The room became hot and stuffy with 2 people, no A/C (common for UK) but with no windows, it became unbearable around 7:00 am. Waking up sweating (and a bit hungover) with no windows = attempt to pack and get away as soon as possible. Furniture covering up the signs for the even numbered rooms = 10 minutes trying to locate the hallway to our room once on the floor. I'm not sure if its UK thing or not, but my experience is that signage lacks significantly all across the UK, not just this hotel.

quartier très tranquille et joli dans sa modernité (espaces aérés, grands buildings...) vaut le détour surtout la nuit. Dommage qu'il soit excentré du centre de Londres à pied mais on le rejoint très facilement en train en 10 mn.

Not the room we reserved.

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Give people the rooms they have reserved.
Location: Greenwich Maritime Museum. Docklands Museum.
We reserved a double room for two nights. We were put in a Disabled Twin Room for the first night with no window. As it was our 25th Wedding Anniversary - not very romantic.

No AC and No customer support

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Customer support
Location: Business
• For duration of stay (4 nights) I had no air conditioning and the room temperature was a whopping 26C. Window was not opened as well. • Last night I could not sleep and went down and person in charge came up with equipment but was unable to open the window. I personally had to work with the tools he got and open the window myself. • Further Wi-Fi (promised as available in all rooms) does not work and I was told by the front desk that it is only guaranteed in the lobby. • For terrible nights I spent you charged £158 for the first night and £230 for the second night which is very unfair.

a tired hotel

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: not a lot to like about the hotel other than it accepted a dog and so many do not anymore
Cons: refurbish it and employ some pleasant and helpful staff
Location: good location if you need to be near central london
to say this hotel is tired is an understatement, when canary wharf was built maybe it was great but would greatly benefit refurbishment also the staff are probably the most unhelpful we have experienced for a very long time

It's ok, could do with a face lift

Posted Jun 22, 2015
I picked the hotel as it was a mid range hotel and next to the dlr. The rooms and the corridors were showing there age, the dlr was noisy but I can't complain as I wanted to be close to it, but it did get annoying. I wouldn't stay there again as I think it was expensive taking into account the condition and the location. I stayed in Westminster the next night for half the price.

Pros: view and also bath tub
Cons: carpet
Location: central and accessible.
when we stayed in Hilton hotel few years ago...was different to this experience. cause, might be the location. over all is good for affordable offers. there for a good reason to spend accordingly. no disturbance. view was good. only disappointment may be with the carpet..looks very old.
