Understated, elegant hotel with characterPosted Oct 22, 2013
Excellent Knightsbridge location with an understated, quiet elegance. Only negative is darkness of some rooms which staff kindly and quickly addressed by offering me alternative, brighter rooms. Staff is cheerful and professional. Did not eat at the hotel, but the cozy bar and tea areas were in keeping with the lovely character of the hotel. In general, The Cadogan Hotel is a refreshing alternative to the character-less monotony and robotic qualities of the best, 5-star "chain" hotels.

Very good hotel in a great location.Posted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: Small, classic, very classy, great staff and beautifully maintained.
Cons: Room aircon although we didn't have it checked. Perhaps it was our fault not the hotels!
Location: Sloane St is very central in a beautiful area of London. Very convenient for the West end and all the great shopping and theatres.
The only issue we faced was that the room air-conditioning didn't seem to be working properly. Otherwise a delightful stay.

This hotel has lost it's classPosted Aug 12, 2013
Location: This is no longer an area where a women can walk outside the hotel and feel comfortable.
I was disappointed in the hotel, given it's star rating. The restaurant had been closed due to malfunction during a heat wave and the hotel never contacted me to advise of this closure. Breakfast was remarkably plain given its price (GBP26 if you want a boiled egg!). The staff were slow in replenishing items at the buffet. Coffee was cold two of three mornings. The house supervisor knocked on our door and entered without waiting for us to respond or open the door. The hotel does not have parking or valet services. The front desk and concierge were friendly. The elevator is antiquated and requires guests to close the outer gate for it to be available for use from other floors. This was inconvenient for one of our party who is partially disabled. Worse of all the women in our party found the young men (visitors?) who wander around in packs at night very predatory. There was a continuous stream of very expensive sports cars drag racing past the hotel most days and nights with seeming impunity from the police. All in all a very sad experience for the hotel and its immediate environs.

Lovely hotel in the most perfect position.Posted Jul 30, 2013
Location: Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and Palace, Harrods and Harvey Nicholls, Sloane Square, buses and Picadilly Line ( Heathrow).
After a long flight from the other end of the world, I was so happy to wander down from the Knightsbridge tube station which was so convenient and to find a lovely room ( and a most welcome upgrade ) waiting for me. Breakfast was lovely and the service was great. As a first timer to London, being so close to the parks and Harrods and wonderful walks was just great.

A Perfect Boutique Hotel in KnightsbridgePosted Jul 7, 2013
Pros: Simply everything!
Cons: Nothing. They've thought of everything.
Location: It's a short walk to the elegant boutiques on Sloane Street, Harvey Nichols, Hyde Park, etc. Just start walking and enjoy exploring all the sights.
Nothing could have prepared us for how perfect this elegant hotel is. Located just steps away from Sloane Square and world-class shopping, The Cadogan is everything you could imagine in terms of cosy elegance, superb service, ultimate comfort and amenities in our room, plus free WiFi. Given everything the hotel provides, its rates are extremely reasonable. The concierge provided invaluable advice during our stay, and we can think of nothing they could possibly do to improve this lovely hotel. Unless you have an invitation from HRH to stay at Buckingham Palace, The Cadogan is THE place to stay in London.

No To Special OffersPosted Jun 28, 2013
Cons: noise and tired decor
Location: On Sloan Street, 5-10 min walk to Knightsbridge and Sloan Square tube stations, it was great for Wimbledon, shopping, dining out and entertaining.
Our 'superior' room (220) was in the well of the building so we were exposed to the central heating noise from very early in the morning making a lie-in beyond 6am practically impossible. The fabrics and carpets throughout were frayed, worn and stained. The chatter of late arriving guests and their footsteps up and down on the floorboards in the room above kept us awake one night. The bathroom was so small the toilet was so close to the wall one could not sit comfortably. For £260 per night, I expected a self contained shower and not a curtained bath shower. Finally, no coffee making facilities. The staff were fine and the location was great
