Ideal locationPosted Jan 19, 2015
Cons: Looks like refurbishment in progress so hopefully appearance of corridors/rooms will improve.
Basic hotel currently being refurbished. Did the job for a budget stay. Hotel reception very helpful. Room clean but could do with lick of paint, bathroom great, obviously just been refurbished.

Mediocre hotel, near Camden MarketPosted Jan 1, 2015
Shabby, walked up 3 flights with luggage, no lift. Poor lighting, cramped bedroom; dirty carpet; lumpy, old uncomfortable mattresses. Clean bathroom with TINY shower. Friendly, accommodating staff. Noisy bar til wee hours of morning, 3 nights in a row.

Great place considering it's location and price.Posted Dec 7, 2014
Given that this place is a two star budget hotel, right next to chalk farm tube station, this represents excellent value. The bed was not super comfortable but certain no worse than a travelodge or similar budget hotel. The room was clean, certainly on or better than any other hotel in the area at that price. Bit short on facilities but has a fully working ensure and ththe shower was reasonable certainly better than many others of similar price. Overall would highly recommend if you want good value no frills accommodation.

Perfect crash pad after gig at The RoundhousePosted Nov 8, 2014
Felt like student halls in the corridors, but the room was Spock & span. New carpet, comfy bed, clean white sheets, good clean bathroom and even tea making facilities. Friendly reception staff and really excellent breakfast in adjoins cafe. Very happy indeed!!

Budget hotel in vibrant CamdenPosted Oct 24, 2014
Pros: The location in vibrant Camden with the west end to the south and Hampstead and Hampstead Heath to the north a welcome change from the tourist areas.
Cons: The only complaint I can think of is the traffic noise outside, but I did not ask for a different room which may have been possible.
Location: Camden Lock is a vibrant part of London with a full range of shops, cafes and restaurants situated on Regent's Canal. Mostly for a young crowd.
I needed a budget value hotel within easy reach of King's Cross and was pleased to find this hotel across the road from Chalk Farm underground station in an area of London I know well, but one that has changed a lot over the last 10 years.

War okPosted Oct 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
Für meinen Reisezweck war das Hotel optimal gelegen und völlig ok. Kleines Zimmer aber alles drin. Konnte zu Fuß zum nahegelegenen Clubauftritt meiner Band gehen.

Close to tube and excellent morning breakfastPosted Oct 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very close to the Chalk Farm tube station for good transport and they have a deal with the coffee shop on the ground floor for an excellent breakfast. Facilities are a bit tired, my carpet needed to be replaced and the sink was cracked; however, the windows open and it was clean. Overall for a night or two it's a good choice. Can have a lot of traffic noise.
