Comfortable in a beautiful locationPosted Sep 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Rooms were very nice (would never £500 per night rack rate however!) the building is beautiful, the local very pretty and the service very good in the hotel. Breakfast in bed at no extra cost was an absolute treat. I would stay again if the rate allows.

Very nice hotelPosted Sep 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
I had a pleasant stay, the room was comfortable and fairly big, the bathroom nice and modern. The hotel has a good restaurant but lacks a gym or fitness center. You have to walk 5-10 minutes to get to most shops and restaurants, I wish it were a little more central but overall, the place is very nice.

Great Hotel for Wimbledon TennisPosted Jun 26, 2013
Pros: the complementary glass of white port and bath robes adn breakfast
Location: Perfect with gardens to walk and browse if needed
Staff very friendly and efficient and professional and would stay again. It was a perfect place to stay if going to the Tennis at Wimbledon. Otherwise very well situated for a weekend away with Wimbledon village having some lovely shops/restaurants.

Superb experiencePosted May 22, 2013
Pros: Good and helpful staff
Location: At the end of the underground on the District line might not suit those wishing to be near the centre of London but it's in a perfect location
The stay was wonderful and unfortunately it was too short - would ahve loved to have stayed longer. All the staff were very helpful and engaging.

Great experiencePosted Feb 23, 2013
Pros: Style, professionalism, comfort and value for money
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: Lovely spot overlooking the common and their own beautiful gardens.
This was a marvellous haven. From the delightful welcome on arrival and help with the luggage to our farewell the following day it was a very good experience. We stayed here instead of our usual place in Central London as we had a meeting in Wimbledon and couldn't have made a better decision. It was spacious, friendly, professional, free parking, free wifi, excellent breakfast, and proper coffee making in the room, with a cafetiere - also fresh home made biscuits. Bed was so comfortable we slept like babies and the bathroom was bliss, and even had a super magnifying mirror, which is great for make-up. Lovely large towels and robes. Looking forward to our next visit. Certainly a notch above most London hotels and surely better value for money!!

A lovely 'Country' Hotel in townPosted Feb 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Situated on Wimbledon Common it feels like the country, but in a suburb only 7 miles from Charing Cross. The hotel was delightful. The staff were friendly and very efficient. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. I had a lovely time.

Lovely hotel in perfect positionPosted Aug 12, 2012
Pros: Position Lovely room COMFORTABLE bed complimentary port in room quiet situation
Cons: Absolutely has to be the see through bathroom door - AWFUL experience. There are some things husbands and wives should not be sharing!
Location: Truly lovely location. Nice walk into Wimbledon, which is delightful.
Only one complaint - the bathroom doors are see through. The middle area is frosted but it is totally see through all around that!I had to--use the bathroom without switching on the light. I suggest taking some tape with you to stick tissue around the door. I think I am right in thinking most females expect privacy in the bathroom!

Nice rooms, pity about the staff!Posted Apr 19, 2012
Pros: Rooms, gardens, restaurant setting
Cons: Staff, noise levels
Location: Excellent, close to local parks and village
The room was large and comfortable, the bathroom especially lovely. If we weren't to leave the room it would have been bliss. Unfortunately the sweaky floorboards and noisy rooms next door made it less enjoyable. The staff, although smiley, were inefficient. Bar staff forgetting to serve you, inattentive breakfast staff and front desk staff lacking the personal touch all made it harder to relax
