A wonderful location with excellent walks.

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Its location, the quality of both the food and the service
Location: It is on the Common so 'constitutionals' can be taken just by walking out of the front door.
The hotel is in a wonderful location on Wimbledon Common with excellent walks just outside of the front door. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent. The stay felt very much 'home from home'

Luxurious room in prestigious location

Posted Jan 27, 2014
Pros: Location, very comfortable bed, good room facilities.
Cons: Poached eggs
Location: Right on Wimbledon common and surrounded by pretty parkland so no poor views from any rooms I suspect.
We chose to stay in a superior room and it was very well equipped/comfortable. There were big towelling bath robes, iron/ironing board, exceptionally comfortable bed/bedlinen, beautiful bathroom and all the usual smaller luxuries - toiletries, tea/coffee making, magazines, hairdryer. Although it didn't matter to us (we only opened it to be nosey) the fridge was a little odd as it only contained 4 bottles of water. Breakfast was good - positives are that there was a very wide choice of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries and cooked options and the ingredients appeared to be of high quality, negatives would be that the poached egg wan't cooked enough (the white was still gelatinous) and the Full English breakfast was relatively small. We would definitely go back if we needed accommodation in the Wimbledon Village area again (although the luxury price tag means that it would be a treat rather than a habit).

Great Hotel to stay!

Posted Nov 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
My wife and I stayed here recently for the 1st time. The hotel itself was very good, clean, good size rooms and the food (only had breakfast) was very good. The hotel is very close to Wimbledon village (10 min walk) which has some lovely bars and restaurants to go to. Overall a very nice hotel, and one we would recommend.

Lovely rooms

Posted Nov 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room we had was so comfy, especially the bed! Great decor and styling. The complimentary breakfast was amazing, very high quality ingredients. The only thing that let down the experience was the staff, they weren't bad but they didn't operate to the same standard as the hotel itself.

Comfortable in a beautiful location

Posted Sep 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Rooms were very nice (would never £500 per night rack rate however!) the building is beautiful, the local very pretty and the service very good in the hotel. Breakfast in bed at no extra cost was an absolute treat. I would stay again if the rate allows.

Very nice hotel

Posted Sep 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
I had a pleasant stay, the room was comfortable and fairly big, the bathroom nice and modern. The hotel has a good restaurant but lacks a gym or fitness center. You have to walk 5-10 minutes to get to most shops and restaurants, I wish it were a little more central but overall, the place is very nice.

Great Hotel for Wimbledon Tennis

Posted Jun 26, 2013
Pros: the complementary glass of white port and bath robes adn breakfast
Location: Perfect with gardens to walk and browse if needed
Staff very friendly and efficient and professional and would stay again. It was a perfect place to stay if going to the Tennis at Wimbledon. Otherwise very well situated for a weekend away with Wimbledon village having some lovely shops/restaurants.

Superb experience

Posted May 22, 2013
Pros: Good and helpful staff
Location: At the end of the underground on the District line might not suit those wishing to be near the centre of London but it's in a perfect location
The stay was wonderful and unfortunately it was too short - would ahve loved to have stayed longer. All the staff were very helpful and engaging.

Great experience

Posted Feb 23, 2013
Pros: Style, professionalism, comfort and value for money
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: Lovely spot overlooking the common and their own beautiful gardens.
This was a marvellous haven. From the delightful welcome on arrival and help with the luggage to our farewell the following day it was a very good experience. We stayed here instead of our usual place in Central London as we had a meeting in Wimbledon and couldn't have made a better decision. It was spacious, friendly, professional, free parking, free wifi, excellent breakfast, and proper coffee making in the room, with a cafetiere - also fresh home made biscuits. Bed was so comfortable we slept like babies and the bathroom was bliss, and even had a super magnifying mirror, which is great for make-up. Lovely large towels and robes. Looking forward to our next visit. Certainly a notch above most London hotels and surely better value for money!!
