“Castleton Hotel”

Really, really small room, but not unusual for London. Really polite and helpful staff. One block walk to Paddington station and plenty of restaurants and pubs in one minute walk. Cheap cab fare to all London attractions. This isn't high luxury, but value for money for budget travelers. Good cooked breakfast.

I rented a very small single room. Nothing fancy, but it was what I was looking for, reasonable price, clean, comfortable, helpful staff, in a good neighborhood.

Very very crampy room; if 2 people, need to coordinate moving around the bed ! Hardly space for 2 suitcases; OK for 1 only ! Door lock like an old 1970 closet door knob lock. Small towels. No elevator, so avoid floors above 1st if you have heavy suitcases. Cross room sound insulation non-existant. No ventilation nor air conditioning, therefore avoid this place in the Summer (well anytime in my Opinion !) since need to open the window and then noisy. No internet service except if connecting downstairs to a wire. Location is good.
